Pls pray for me my toothache has decided to rear its ugly head again

Waiting for payday to book an emergency appointment luckily payday isn’t all that far away, but it’s going to be hell while I wait

Send lots of water (no sugary drinks pls) and crisps (no sugary foods)

Have you tried clove oil? It's absolutely disgusting, but it works so well. It's my go to whenever my wisdom teeth play up

If it gets bad get paramol from your local chemist. Its codeine so will deal even with tooth pain but only take it 3 days max or it’s addictive.

I’d use codine and paracetamol. If you go to your GP they are no longer allowed to deal with teeth as there was a memo from RCD saying if a non dentist dealt with a tooth we could potentially get a lawsuit….

I pray for you and we will ve here if needed.feel free to message if needed

Always useful to have a pharmacynerd!

Is that something to look for in painkillers?

If it's nerve pain holding ice cold water in your mouth will help.

It causes the nerve in the teeth to shrink (advice from bro who sja dentist when this happened to me)

I don’t actually know what it is I’ve had my fair share of infections (with one going into my jawbone) but I think this one is a filling - it flares up every few months or so. It was a botched filling in the first place so it’s a miracle it’s lasted 8 years already, but I think I knocked it out a little bit last year and every so often it likes making its presence known

Ironically I’m already taking codeine in the form of migraleve and I’m convinced painkillers choose one thing to focus on (I know that’s not the case and i literally have a STEM degree but my brain is stuck in elementary science) and im on day 3 so after that

If it works it's more likely the nerve than the filling. Glad it helped

You can also call NHS 111 and they should be able to help you with an emergency appointment at a dentist tomorrow

Orajel is also good op. Or when I had a dental abscess, a warm teabag against my gum gave me relief too.

The problem with doing that is you're doubling up on paracetamol which is a big fat no no if you value your liver....
