I’m trying to go full plant based

I’m already vegetarian but want to make the switch to eating more whole foods as my eating is OUT OF CONTROLLLL

I’ve tried a lot of meat substitutes and I like most of them, but does anyone have any suggestions for actually using them? I know it sounds stupid but I usually just eat them on their own or as a side dish or something.

Also, anyone have any whole food meal suggestions that aren’t gonna taste rank? I love vegetables yummm but sometimes they just taste a bit bland init

I’m not any of those things but I do love vegetable chilli and spicy vegetable dishes in general.

Can you eat pasta?

I’m not great on the specifics of the vegan, vegetarian etc but I do love vegetables.

Spicy arrabbiatta is my favourite meal.

The Town by The Cross

I'm vegan.

I don't use vegan subs. They are generally very unhealthy.

I used to make my own seitan but it's too labour intensive and not satisfying tastewise.

I will eat tempeh cooked in different ways.

I will eat M and S chicken pieces but generally it's just veg.

I just cook ordinary everyday food without the body of a dead animal in it.... change your flavours so it's not always curry. e.g. you can do smokey jackfruit or chickpea anything or bolognese .... ( I use quorn mince in my bolognese )

Check that you are getting enough protein

Here is a list of high protein veg and bits of other stuff.

Seitan

Tofu

Tempeh

Edamame

Lentils

Beans

Yeast ( nutritional yeast flakes not the baking or brewing stuff ) it's for b12

Spelt

Hempseed

Green Peas ( i virtually live on these)

Spirulina

Quinoa

Ezeikel bread ( expensive and rare )

Soy Milk ( i make my own oat milk )

Wild Rice

Chia

Nuts

Nut butters.

I eat lots of other stuff too but this list will keep you healthy

Never buy ready meals ..... they are shite

Check the nutritional value of everything.

This is actually very helpful; my next challenge will be to stop being such a fussy eater

That's what stopped me lasting as vegan. I lived on potatos and beans or peas for near a year. Lost loads of weight. Would love to have lasted but I'm too fussy.

Was vegan for 6 years. Honestly just sub them into normal recipes. Fake mince is good in all sorts
