This is really a message for the ladies out there. I have a very special lady friend and I want to buy her a very special toy as a surprise for her birthday but it's literally a minefield out there with different types..
Just looking for some recommendations really?

Depends what she likes/what she has already.
I have a Doxy Diecast wand (mains powered). It's epic, but extremely voracious. If she's not used to toys, I wouldn't suggest it.
The Womanizer suction toys are good. Buy whichever one you fancy/ can afford.
Failing that, a rabbit from Ann Summers, or plain vibrator is just as good. The Moregasm range look pretty good.
If you don't want something with batteries, LoveHoney have some great dildos. The glass ones are interesting.
Or you have Sinnovator toys, from Uberkinky, which are, erm... unusual...

My two most used are a simple average-sized glass dildo from Ann Summers that was recommended to me by the shop assistant, she said I wouldn’t regret it and I haven’t!

I’ve had loads of different ones over the years.
My go to for quite some time now remains my rabbit. Powerful little ears and it’s sturdy. Many of my vibrators broke after a few months or failed to hit the spot with enough vibration.
I also use a womaniser for travel (more discrete)

Personal favourite of mine has always been the ultimate-o. I may be a bit biased by brand because I have worked the lingerie and toy party plan for a long time.
