Some things Indians do better than rest of the world? Ancient Indians had spacecraft, the internet, and nuclear weapons, long before Western science came on the scene. In Mahabharata a woman who gave birth to 100 children, it is evident that India's ancient Hindu civilization had developed advanced reproductive technologies. G. Nageshwar Rao, vice-chancellor of Andhra University in Visakhapatnam. "Stem cell research was done in this country thousands of years ago," |

""We owe a lot to the Indians, who taught us how to count, without which no worthwhile scientific discovery could have been made."
Albert Einstein"
An indian friend showed me how to count a dozen on one hand while using the other hand to move the things being counted.
Using two hands, it is possible to count a gross, 144.
Why is this never taught in Europe?
We are told that the decimal system is derived from having ten fingers but nobody bothers telling us that the duodecimal system most likely stems from counting finger segments with the thumb of the same hand.
Try it! |

"I'll have what the OP is smoking, please. "
In case you haven't seen OP's posts in political section, he hates India and Hindus. This is thread is his lame attempt to make it look like Indians are smug idiots.
And before you ask... Yes... There are people who live such sorry lives. And no marks for guessing which country he is from. |

Don't believe all that religious claptrap.
If the Indians were so smart why did they allow themselves to be conquered by amongst others the illiterate dirt poor moghuls, followed by a handful of British, armed with nothing more than track suits from sports direct, motorbike handle moustaches and a hatred of any temperature above 17 degrees.

I am not going to get the thread closed down. It is still useful to have constructive discussions around the topic of India's contributions in science and philosophy. No one has to give a damn about the original post. |

"
Islamic and British invaders were attracted towards India because of its wealth. That means India was a wealthy nation even 1000’s of years back. India was a developed country in those times and attracted foreigners such as British and Islamic invaders. India may not have been an advanced civilization as per modern material standards, but it must have been an advanced civilization thousands of years ago. |

"You didn't have railways without a little help

"
Apologists for empire like to claim that the British brought democracy, the rule of law and trains to India. Isn’t it a bit rich to oppress, torture and imprison a people for 200 years, then take credit for benefits that were entirely accidental? Guardian |

We obviously don't have an Indian Prime Minister now, but I'm sure that's not what you're saying. |

According to the scriptures , Jesus abandoned Jerusalem at the age of 13 and set out towards India "intending to improve and perfect himself in the divine understanding and to studying the laws of the great Buddha". He crossed Punjab and reached Puri Jagannath where he studied the Vedas under Brahmin priests |
