All of the above, especially the read the rules bit (no one does but they are really helpful) oh and any specific questions use the search box on the forums, you’ll get lots of good tips there.

I'm not sure if you've left yourself logged in or not.
My advice would be don't have unrealistic expectations, it's unlikely you'll get meets straight away for instance, don't take things too seriously and join in with forum discussions.
As you can see there are plenty of people on this thread who are happy to help you.
