The Euros kick off this Friday. Who’ll be watching? How do we fancy England’s chances?

I reckon it’s definitely coming home this year.

Come on England!!

Chances would be better if:

We made better defensive choices

We didn’t play Trent as a midfielder

But I’ll be supporting with all I have and preparing for the inevitable quarter final disappointment

I claim my German ancestry - even place the flag up in the background for MSTeams meetings. For some reason that seems to wind people up

D’ya know what…..I think I’d rather England fell totally flat and exit at the group phase.

No wait…..hear me out before you chop my bollocks off.

Abject failure would make up the mind of Gareth Southgate, to step aside and start a new era with a manager that might be able to benefit from the pretty good work he’s done since taking over. And there’s no denying, it’s been an enjoyable ride to be an England football fan. A time of expectations rather than blind hopes.

I think France will win it as they seem to be strong in defence , midfield , forwards with good back up options and a top manager who has done it at international level. As a outsider/ dark horse I think if Italy get out of their group which I think they will it could take a penalty shootout for them to lose as they seem to always find a way to win.

Super John McGinn

‘Don’t come home too soon’ is a great song

‘I don’t care what people say, we can laugh it all away’

‘But if I have a dream at all, it’s best for once you won’t be on that stupid plane’

Walk softly and all that..

Us Scots enjoy the party atmosphere and being a small fish in a big pond, we don't expect too much.

England on the otherhand always have it won before a ball is kicked. Since 66 you have become serial losers but you can always dream

You have some great players but a dick of a manager that is holding you back.

Better manager and you would have a great chance.

Good from Trent? I thought he was particularly poor. Rice held his hand for most of the game. Hopefully he doesn’t start in the middle again. Would rather Foden (who was also poor) came into the middle and Eze was put out on the wing.

I thought he was good. There were obviously question mark about where he best fits in the team but I thought he did well. I thought Gallagher was poor when he came on but Bowen was very good. Also Guehi was very bright in defence.

All about opinions I just thought he looked a bit out of his depth in the middle and Foden just never seems to cut it for England out on the left.

Jude was unreal. Simply brilliant. Saka excellent first half, faded in the second but first game post injury very impressive.

Guehi had a great game.

England have started slowly compared to Germany & Spain but I feel they can develop as the tournament goes on.They need to find a way to get Bellingham & Foden linking up and creating chances for Kane or perhaps pick just one of them to play #10 and bring in Eze , Gordon or Palmer on the left wing.Like I said there is still time for the performance to improve.

That was harsh on Belgium earlier, the VAR decision on handball, looked for very little, but that’s how the game goes. Fantastic win for Slovakia

France and Austria seemed a good game and really thought Mbappe would score but just don’t know what he did with the shot. Two great chances for the Austria striker that he was unlucky with.
