Yep, just do it. Get up in the morning and say - I am no longer a smoker. Next week I will have given up a year.

I was a smoker since 13 years of age. I recently stopped 4 weeks ago!

The only thing that will stop you is yourself. Your willpower. Thats all it took me... Plus the 150+ quid in my rainy day jar is keeping them smokes at bay!

One day, when you smell smoke, you'll want to vomit. Keep at it and win.

So true. The smell of smoke or the smell of a smoker are often awful to an ex-smoker.

I'm a non smoker that confused nicotine patches with corn plasters. I'm now on 40 a day.

Do research and find a good hypnotherapist in your area. He or she should stop you smoking in one session.

Try an e-cigarette take a look at www.smoke-electronic-cigarettes.co.uk you can get all a manner of flavours with varied strengths all the way too 0 nicotine. It's cheaper than smoking healthier and doesn't leave you or your clothes smelling. They're legal to smoke in public places.

I am 56 and was a smoker since 14 mum died of emphysamea etc., i still fagged it. About four five yrs ago I gave up. I had tried all the various giver uppers but in the end it was down to me. I set myself a date and bought some CRAFE AWAY fags from chemist in asda 1.98 each. nothing fancy just something to hold. Changed my routine when i got up went out with the girls for fag breaks lol me and my cheapo plastic. It worked for me. When I saw the money in the bank gosh i could have cried all the dosh i wasted. but was too late in a way cos I now have what mum had. Should have given it up earlier. Good luck and hope you can do it Cat

Yes.

Stop smoking.

It IS as simple as that.

No one makes you smoke.

If you can get down to two a day isn't that proof enough that you don't need them at all.

You are hanging on like a baby would cling to something when it's scared.

Find out what's really in your head n heart.

Just STOP.

I'm just about to smoke my last cig sparking it up as I type! Patches going on!! Electric cigs are worse than normal cigs as when they warm the toxins from the heated plastic go into your system they also can be addictive the Drs at work told me NOT to use them.

I an non smoker and never been stupid enough to do it in first place and whilst like any addiction it maybe hard either you really wish to stop or not. If you want to stop badly enough you will as millions of others have done.
