Well I’ve made it to 53 and each year now I buy myself to a gift for making it, sounds a bit heavy but in my head it makes sense, I always go a bit random with my purchases so this year I’ve bought the book ‘The boy, the Mole, the fox and the Horse’ as it’s something I’ve wanted for a while, does anyone else buy themselves a bday present and what do you buy? |

Happy birthdays OP and kinky rebel.
It’s a lovely book OP, gorgeous illustrations and beautiful sentiment.
I like to treat myself for something on the day too. Usually me time, going to a cafe for cake and a cocktail or a spa day if the budget allows or going out for the day to swim or ride somewhere different, just me. |

Happy birthday, to each of you!
I have bought myself little treats in the past on my birthday. My 50th was during lockdown and I had wanted to do something for that, so my 55th will be the new 50th! |

This time next month will be birthday eve for me, I'll be 45 and usually (because doughnut can't legally drive) he doesn't really plan anything that involves going far as he worries about getting there and making me drive miles, this year though I've taken the bull by the horns and planned a whole short break, doing everything I WANT to do, drive to Cornwall, see a sunrise, eat Cornish pasties, go to st ives and visit fat willys surf shack (always wanted a hoodie), so yeah that is my present to myself. (I've also given him some ideas so he can get some learning experience driving).
Yes it seems very instructional of me but I wanted a birthday for once that isn't relying on him making a decision (he finds it really hard and stresses him out) or thinking friends might actually want to spend time with me x |
