"Depending on where they are then just draw a white line ( chalk or otherwise) ..
Bizarrely Ants won't cross a white line "
It needs to be chalk... the make up of chalk is what they don't like.
Buy some ant powder, and make sure all surfaces are wiped down after food, as they'll come for the leftovers. They also love sugar, so this will definitely attract them. |

Ideally find the best and destroy it otherwise they just come back, or get a toad, I had them bad in a crack in the concrete outside and they were coming in the kitchen, then a few years in a row a toad showed up every summer and stayed a few month and ate them all after a few years neither the ants or the toad returned
As mentioned sprinkle talc where they getting in they won’t cross it ever |

I find scalding hot water, white vinegar, washing up liquid to be effective.
Maybe not inside though so my assistance is pointless.
I also read if you take a handful of ants and introduce them to a different colony they then go into territorial warfare and kill each other (job done) |

Play Celine Dion on a constant loop they hate the sound of her voice.
Incidentally Ants are the most numerous creature on the planet successfully surviving in very harsh conditions and unchanged for many thousands of years.
They are the peak of community living with everyone having a role and working together as one for the colony.
They are remarkable |

"Killing them is not an option
Do you know their entry point, block that if you can. "
This is the ONLY sensible advice on this thread.
Find where they are coming in and block it off.
If you wait until swarming day ( usually a hot july or august day - they will accidentally swarm INTO your home )
'Also, wipe up several times as day because they usually follow sugary trails e.g. jam, chilli sauce , sugar....... what ever. We think we've cleaned up but really we haven't... |
