Do you have a ritual or habit you have to do before you close your eyes for the night, once I’ve got into bed I always have to see what time it is and if I’ve already snuggled down I still have to put my glasses back on and check the time otherwise it plays on my mind.

Alexa has to be on low (usually Magic Chilled)
I lie on my back and piss about on my phone (I look at the same 3 sites every night), lie on my right side and then on my left
Legs need to be up - so semi-foetal
Then sleep comes quickly |

I usually meditate last thing before I sleep, it’s not really a ritual as much as it is a routine. |

I remember once I had a Lovecraft audiobook on YouTube at night and it had nearly finished; I woke up hours later and YouTube had autoplayed someone reading from The Necronomicon*.
Like, sinister sounding rituals with loads of rhythmic music playing in the background.
Wouldn’t recommend.
*Theres an actual version of it, obviously not the one from all the horror movies or Lovecraft pantheon |

A relative always applied lipstick before bed as she says you never know who you might meet in your dreams, how bonkers my dreams are I’m not sure lipstick would be my choice although I do apply lip balm, got to keep them smooth and foot cream as I shiver at the thought of people with hard skin on their feet and eye drops as I sleep for hours so guess they need a bit of moisture  |

plug my phone in, lift the duvet far side for one dog - then have a game with the other who complains if im on 'her bit' - cuddle said fussy mutt for a few minutes - fish out wand or rabbit for some me time - then snuggle back against one dog and cuddling other - fall asleep |
