If you have profile txt and it's clear what you want then you can delete messages without replying to guys or couples without any feelings of guilt.
If they haven't read then it's only their own time they are wasting isn't it? |

Definitely isn't just men...lots on here with a 'do as I say not as I do' attitude. Got messaged by a couple asking for meet on a weekday afternoon - my profile states I work full time. There were no pics and both were out of my preferred age range. Yet their profile repeatedly said in caps about how they could only do daytimes and not to message unless you had read the profile, had pics and were within their preferred age range. Took me all of 3 seconds to hit delete on the message and read the messages from single guys that had actually read it! |

Writing a good profile - or intro message - that tells you all you need to know, but doesn't bore the pants off you is not easy. I've done copywriting in my 'previous life' and even I find it difficult at times to say what you want in a succinct way, which doesn't lead to misunderstandings down the line. |

Quite right and the truth is ..Skimming through text looking for keywords is a people thing- not a single male or swinging thing. It happens in all walks of text based life.
We've learned not to get wound up about it.
We simply block anyone who is obviously not our thing according to our text, and reply to those who are whether they've obviously read the profile text or not.
Incidentally we get more no profile readers who are couples than we do from singles....but guessing its almost always a man replying. Maybe it IS a man thing single or not. |

It's true - few emails from couples indicate they've read the profile. Most are the one-liners people moan about guys sending; "wanna meet 2night?"
And as to boring profiles - that's true too; many are very dull. We're very attracted by well-written profiles, but sometimes a few well-chosen sentences are the best. |

Oh this is a real bug bear of mine, I ALWAYS read someone's profile and the info onions is there for a reason. I sometimes think I'll just put a one liner with all my pics in friends only, bet I'd still get the same amount of messages and friend invites!! |

Sadly, some peope not reading profiles will never change, either single or couples.. best to learn from the experience and maximise the tools on the site that are available to all. If it causing angst:
block everyone and you do the searching, obviously reading the profile before contact.

Some do, some don't - just like women. No point in ranting about it - just accept that it's the way of a swinging site - not everything is going to be as you want it to be...
Also some female profiles are so aggressive that I and many others, i suspect, switch off halfway though. That said, I don't then send a message - but some will try their luck anyway - that's probably what's happening here |

Yep but lets face it we are all suppose to be adults and one would think capable of reading. however they arent even capable of scanning a proving and checking intetests, age and looking for.. those three could be checked very easily and save alot of wasted time.
They dont even go as far as checking if the person they are messagibg are what they are down as looking for.. ie a bloke looking for women only messages an MF couple !!

we've pretty much established,profile text is pointless as no one reads it.
So Just delete text from your profile,and put more pics on ( especially if your a hot chic )
It'll relieve much frustration,and save any scrolling,sometimes very much scrolling,to get to the pics.
Remove the wordy bit,and you'll have nothing to moan about,it'll also save us time in getting to your pics.
It's a win,win solution.
There you go,problem solved,happy days.

I delete all the messages from the men under my age range. If they much younger and way out of my age range then instant delete without bothering to read it.
The mail I read I tend to delete the copy and paste ones etc. Eventually it filters down to the ones that actually have read my profile. |
