Read profiles.
If someone is looking for a longer term thing then travelling with work is a point against. If they're wanting one off NSA they're more likely to be interested.
Make sure you fit their preferences and they fit yours.
Don't send a bland message that could be copy pasted to all viable orifices in your viable area. If you're interested in them specifically, there'll be something specific to pick out from their profile to initiate a conversation with. If there isn't, there's no hook to get started with anyway. |

For starters, I'd have a few more photos on public. You claim to be VWE so why not show a photo of you wearing something that shows the outline of your penis or some bulge.
Also explain in the narrative that you work away for your job and you'd love some company.

I'm not meeting just now, but when I am, I'd not be interested in someone just in the area who messages me at short notice.
Maybe contact people in the areas you'll be in a while before, chat and see if you can build some meets that way.

I've made plenty of friends on the forums in the past. If you make those connections they may be up for a drink or more if you can arrange in plenty of time. I've had some lovely times meeting friends around the country while working. |

I had someone message and then try to book in 6 weeks in advance .... I declined as doesn't interest me I prefer people local to me. |

This rests on top of it being difficult for single men generally. Finding a man who is compatible is challenging and an occasional visitor adds complexity and will often make it too complicated for many.
You need to match their preferences, including timings for meeting and convince them by selling yourself that you do this, if you do. Principally, it's a communication and sales effort |

I used to travel a lot for work not just here in the UK. I, along with the Ex, were on many different swinger sites and what helped was having many different friends on those. The term, its who you know not what you know, comes to mind lol. After divorcing and coming back to the UK, I have yet to meet anyone off this site. The others tend to me more expensive and also have the options of friends only groups etc. so tend to use those for actual meets and this site more for the Forums etc. Still in contact with friends from other countries like Zimbabwe who I sometimes go and meet on holidays when I get the chance.
But as some have stated above, having a well presented profile with some good pictures cam only help. |

The issue is that you are trying to set up a last minute meet with people you don’t know. That normally doesn’t work for a single guy because life gets in the way for couples or single ladies.
If I am travelling I will generally put a meet up several days in advance in the area I am going to be. If people are interested and available then they will reach out and we can see where it goes. |

It's hard to meet people, but not impossible. Sorry can't give any concrete advice other than keep trying. Let's face it, only a small percentage of people you contact will be interested enough to reply, and then only a small percentage of those will lead to actual meets. |

I used to meet someone for coffee, lunch or a beer, who worked away from home and was usually in my area for two weeks at a time every few months. It arose as a result of chatting on here, and tended to occupy her lunch period (which was her only free time as she was a live in carer) and I found really enjoyable and fascinating.
But as said above, it arose cos I chatted to her here and so did not come across as some random wanting to have sex with her just cos she was in my area (or vice versa). |

I work in a hotel on reception, I see many of the same faces on a weekly/monthly basis, so it's one of those things "I could do" and start seeing them but I value my job far too much, while nothing it written in my contract about stuff like that, somehow it just wouldn't feel right, even just meeting for a coffee when they are down x |

If I were in your shoes - if I was going to be working in Manchester, for example (picking where I live), I'd change my location to M1 (Manchester city centre) on my profile for a week beforehand, so you show up as local for the people you message. No guarantees, and you need to tell people that you change your location due to work travel, but it's how I'd do it. |

Have no expectations, if you know where you’re going in advance, start chatting to people in the area ahead of the trip. Start getting to know them and build the anticipation
A spontaneous, ‘I’m bored and have an empty hotel and surely you must want to share it with me, a stranger’ sense of entitlement is not an attractive feature for most.

On a boat sailing the Algarve (or anywhere really), it's not uncommon to meet someone in the same marina. Depends on your expectations too, I mean if I'm in a marina for 2 days, I'm quite happy just chatting with someone who happens to be nearby. A coffee is always good, anything else is a bonus really. If you're start point is wanting sex now, then the options will be limited. |
