I saw a movie last week Called the Ministry of ungentlemanly warfare, was surprised to discover it is based on real people.

My choice is The Hurricane starring Denzel Washington made me very angry.

And Lion, starring Dev Patel I was in tears.

Between Ely and Mildenhall

Hidden Figures.

Fantastic film although not quite factual at times. But it does show the crap that women have had to put up with for years

"Braveheart Awful film, terribly inaccurate, from the blue painted faces, to the battle of Stirling Bridge without a fecking bridge.

Americans messing around with history because they think the truth wouldn't make a good film. White,

Mrs x

I have to agree. I understand that some compromises are necessary to make a film work, but it was just awful in terms of accuracy. And no Scottish actors available to play the lead?

At least they filmed it in Ireland! "

I believe Rab C Nesbit was available and willing to play the lead but the Americans said they needed a translator on set.

"Leonardo di caprio in catch me if you can

Fantastic film about Frank Abagnale. There is a ltonight show interview with the real Frank, and it is really funny.

Like the film about Dillinger, I found myself googling the facts afterwards and reading books … and realising that the truth was at least as spectacular as the film. "

Warren Oates in DILLINGER (1973)looks more like him than Depp does & for my money is the better film….”We’re in the money! We’re in the money….”
