June Goals

By *BootyfulDay OP   Woman 26 weeks ago

Hello everyone! Holy moly we’re nearly half way through the year!

If you’re a goal setter, what are you hoping to achieve in June? How did you get on in May? If you’re not into setting goals as such is there anything you’re looking forward to this month?

My goals are similar to last month - applying for new jobs but there’s a running club that I am tentatively looking at joining. I used to run (maybe slow jog is a better term ) and then went completely off of it but I would just run by myself so I’m nervous/excited about the thought of running with others!

Let’s hear your goals/plans/intentions and give out some motivation to others

I started at the turn of the year with a project to land at work and to lose some weight.

I’m down from 99.8kg to 92.5kg and I fly Sunday afternoon to Arizona to complete the project.

June is looking like I will get to enjoy the results of the rest of the year so far

There is hope yet

I have a semi big birthday next year and want to alot of travelling so ideally would like to be alot lighter. Plus there is the old "you only get one body" jazz too

May I walked 31 miles for Great Ormond Street Hospital, banged that out in 5 days while on holiday, so this month maybe take it easier lol.

It's my birthday next month so saving the pennies, that said we are off to London next week for beer and cheese as a belated birthday thing for doughnut.

Holy moly sunshine well done! Your feet must have been so sore after that but that’s so impressive! Enjoy relaxing a bit more this month!

I’m not a beer drinker but I am a cheese fan!! That sounds so good! (Grrrrrr) happy belated birthday to doughnut!

Thanks, it helped I was on holiday and had beautiful scenery to achieve it. I'm really not into either beer or cheese but he is, so he will be happy!

May goals, I managed to get one room decorated, halfway done on the next, which should be finished along with the hallway by the end of the week. Walked 377,515 steps, about 188 miles, quite chuffed with that

June goals, finish the decorating, move my above ground fishpond to the back garden and keep up with my fitness goals

I have a goal that's in 2 parts. The first is to up my exercise and become fitter. The second is to eat healthier and lose around 5 stone. I've done the first. The second bit is much much harder but I feel in a better frame of mind to start this now. We'll see.

I lost 5 stone when I stopped competing in strongman. Took ages but wasn't terribly hard. Just lots of slow steady changes. I also found I had to track my food but that's just me.

Good luck

I've never found it that hard but now I am. I'm doing the same things I've done previously to lose weight and nothing is happening. I've a feeling it might be menopause related as I've never struggled to lose weight before

Would like to do 320km in June but sunny weather means doggo can’t walk as much with me.

When I used to be good at drinking water what helped me was having a water bottle I actually liked and looked cool the one I have now is only alright blergh! Hehe

But yeah having it with you as much as possible just to have it there as a reminder and also drinking it early in the day! Downing water before bed is never a good idea
