North of The Wall - youll need your vest |
I bought some Uggs when I was in Australia because I knew how expensive they were here, but I had them 2 years before I wore them as I was too embarrassed
Would never be seen out in public with them on but they make bloody good (if expensive) winter slippers though |

You could wear them on your head and a guy wouldn't notice |

"I saw a guy in a pair earlier today.
Wrong, just wrong !"
It may also be a coincidence but the only meet i have ever asked to leave my home was a man in uggs.
His fate was sealed as soon as I looked down |

Only one fella ive ever seen wearing ugg's, But he was wearing a furry gillet with denim hotpants and had pink hair so id say he was of the "flamboyant" persuation
Ps and yes it was a bloke he had a johnny depp style goatee |

I'm at Ragdale Hall spa and have just seen another guest in her robe and Uggs - just plain wrong in my opinion! Personally I think they look like bad Chewbacca feet but if they feel comfy then fair enough, but not for me |

The Ugg brand makes many different styles of boots, gloves, bags, hats, sandals, etc etc, they don't just have sheepskin shortee boots.
I had the cardi ones and the sheepskin ones but am now saving for a gorgeous knee length leather pair. They are comfy but its the warmth that sells them for me, I don't wear any socks as they are so warm and fluffy, they don't make your feet sweat or smell as they are natural fibres and its just so nice having fluffiness around your toes, especially recently in this really cold weather.
Would never buy any imitation as that defeats the object. They are expensive, the leather ones I like are over £200 but they do last.
I don't see them as a fashion item particularly so I agree they are not the sexiest or glamorous item ever invented, though the summer high heeled wedges are lovely. I wouldn't wear them to a meet as they don't look great with a fitted dress which is what I tend to wear to meets, I'm not a trouser person when I go out in the evening. And in clubs corselettes, stockings and Uggs don't really look that good |

"It's the Fuggs I don't like (fake Uggs), where girls wear them down & walk on the side of them. Bloody awful.
Real Uggs are fine & yes I own a pair "
This is a topic which has the possibility to send me into a rage. I would never buy ugg boots from the company known as Ugg Australia as they are an American Company who boots are made in China but worst of all stole the generic name of Ugg boots, branded it then sued everyone else who tried to use it, including Australian companies that had been selling them for years beforehand. In my eyes "Ugg Australia" are the fakes.

As to whether you wear them on a meet, if you feel comfortable in them then why not. I wouldn't cos I'm a shortarse but I wouldn't look down on someone who met me while wearing them.
And no they aren't slippers, not the good ones anyway, mine have proper soles and have lasted over 10 years so far.
And another thing....in Australia blokes wearing Uggs is (or at least was when I was there) as common as women wearing them. |
