I have a VERY long haircare routine. I have thick hair that’s also curly yet loves to sometimes be straight? It’s a weird combo, nonetheless, I love haircare and taking care of it. It’s practically the only thing in my appearance I do care about.

I ordered some lush products last night to try. Anyone got on well with the conditioning spray? I’ve forgot what it’s called, but it’s milky something.

Share your joys about haircare because I love it !!

I hate it. I'm considering going bald.

But 90% of my jokes involve your wild hair

I’ve had a good run.

Manchester (she/her)

- microfibre towel. No regular towels

- Tangle Teezer

- Denman brush for styling only

- diffusing attachment for my hair dryer

- Garnier Hair Food

- oil. Grapeseed oil in my case, what oil you choose depends on the thickness of your individual strands

I have fine but dense wavy hair, type 2bish that I can get up to 3a with technique. Somewhere between hip and bum

somewhere

I was bleaching mine regularly to be able to put bright colours on it, everyone said to me "your hair will fall out at this rate" and it did, not to the point I was bald but that was a moment I thought "crap".

I try not an bleach it so often now, my hair doesn't grow as quick as it once did, I last had my hair cut by friend/hairdresser in January last year and only recently gave myself a trim round the bottom as it needed it, not as I wanted to lose any length at all (but I have heard if you have it trimmed regularly it does grow quicker, not sure if it's true).

I gave myself an undercut about 18 months ago too, so thankfully that's grown back, that bit grew back quickly, I was half tempted to shave the whole thing off and start again.

Thing is, I don't suit long hair, I end up putting it up all the time and I'm fed up of less that shoulder hair, I was thinking extensions might be the way forward but I know my luck with trying to "girl" and I always fuck it up!...

Had gel nail extensions recently, paid £55 for them, they looked fucking awful as the lady that did them, despite having a fancy little room, hadn't really done them much (which I only found out when I had been in the chair for 45 mins and she just started to apply them) but like the nice Brit I went and paid and gave her a good review!

I try to tan myself, fully naked and I still look like I was wearing a vest when I did it!

So yes, things like getting hair extensions is out the question as I know it would fuck up.

Glad you have lovely hair and enjoy it, I look at others (probably like a weirdo) and think it looks so healthy x

under the sun & the moon

I massage rosemary oil in my scalp the evening before I wash it.

I'll wash it the next morning, on a day I know I'll be in, cos it takes all day to dry.

I don't use a hairdryer.

About once a week. But sometimes twice a week.
