Do you appeal parking tickets?
Jump to: Newest in thread
We've had 4 already this year one we paid well the Mrs did park in a taxi rank.
The other 3 though were from supermarkets which we appealed and won them all.
If you believe your not in the wrong don't hesitate to appeal it as most appeals are currently won. |

I got a ticket for parking over a white line in a station car park. This parking bay was at the end of a row of bays and nothing could park next to me so I straddled the white line to give the car next to me a bit more space (being courteous). I appealed with that argument and they basically said that as they had received so many appeals they couldn't deal with them all so let everyone off |

"All the supermarkets I know give you three hours parking.
How slow do you push your trolley? "
We go to McDonald's and then she can talk for Wales she knows everyone lol.
One of the offences was for just half an hour but we returned back to the car park and another was when we parked for school sport's. |

Haven't had one in years but I know a lot of local people appealed any they got in a particular carpark because they had bought tickets from machines at the entrance to the carpark which apparently were for parking on the street rather than the carpark. The correct machines were all the way at the back of the carpark. There was nothing to distinguish them so until they moved them anyone who appealed was successful. |

Real PCN - If you pay quick it’s only £35, not too bad for 24hr convenient city centre parking.
Fake PCN - I refuse pay to park hospitals ir any other private place that lets you in for free , just ignore them and eventually they go away. |

The council have legal powers and it's almost impossible to fight them off. Private parking companies don't have much legal clout. They use intimidation to get you to pay. It's disgraceful. I have never paid "charge" (because it's not a fine) a private parking company. As soon as they find out I'm going to fight them every step of the way they have always backed down, presumably to go and persecute somebody more susceptible to bullying. |

Typically I do, if I have a case. I have an 80% success rate, the time I didn't was when I'd been clamped, in the car park of the place I was living at the time. My yearly pass I was delaying was 2 days out of date and I needed to get to work. Still annoys me now, 20 years later. |

If you leave your nuts exposed you can get a clamp off by simply removing your wheel and popping it back on again. For future reference. |

That's most kind of you, thank you. Though I tend to keep my nuts under wraps, but I may expose them more regularly now, before bed. |

Can I run this by-
I've been delivered a large parcel by parcelforce.
On the box it says "don't deliver to recipient until customs charge is paid."
(Or words to that effect, presumably for their staff.)
But they have delivered it. I have it already. |

I did against the council and won. I spammed them with photos of others who should have got tickets rather than me alone since a whole road was parked exactly like I was bit without tickets. My email would only attach one photo as proof.
I sent about 40 photos.
I imagine they just got fed up of me. |

Yes. I got hit for a heavy fine when I placed the ticked upside down on the dash. But I could prove I'd purchased a ticket in good faith. The private company threatened court action blah blah blah. They dropped it in the end. |

I appeal them all.
Not paid any.
Last one was for being over the three hour limit at a supermarket.
They soon backed down when I said one Sunday every month I arrive at ten and leave by half past the return at four to leave by quarter past and obviously their system does not recognise the middle two journeys.
I said I do hope I am not going to get a ticket every month and suggested they update their system. |
