Ok that helps - I hadn’t looked below some surface level material in Google. Very Tate types then.
"I had to Google it: The "manosphere" refers to a wide variety of men's groups operating on the internet and offline. Many describe themselves as fighting against progressive (or "woke") ideas about gender equality So like the incel groups? " Mainly, yes. I think the "manosphere" as I understand it, is a toxic place and it's quite scary to be female in a world where people hold the views they hold. I went to a thing over the weekend where we discussed feminism and matters impaction women. We discussed how the "manosphere" fits in. I agree we all have a responsibility to tackle the culture that means people find association with the manosphere. All of us have that responsibility, no matter what our biological sex or gender identity.

"Affinity support groups are not intrinsically bad, they can be positive, but vitriol-filled echo chambers tend to lead to hate, polarisation and balkanisation. The latter tends to be the contemporary trend within the manosphere regrettably." I'm all for guys working out their identity and how to empower themselves in contemporary society. But when it skews into being handed a wife because you deserve it, women expiring after 25, making divorce illegal... nah. Stop bitching and go touch grass.

"Do you agree with or believe in this philosophy? What is it about it that which resonates with you?" No but I think it resonates to a growing number of young guys with no positive role models. When they aren’t getting the success (financial, sexual) they feel they are entitled to, it’s convenient to blame women and political correctness.

"I had to Google it: The "manosphere" refers to a wide variety of men's groups operating on the internet and offline. Many describe themselves as fighting against progressive (or "woke") ideas about gender equality" Nope not for me. Our women chums are equal.
"Do you agree with or believe in this philosophy? What is it about it that which resonates with you?" Not at all, young guys these days lack decent positive role models in their lives as is. It’s why Tate et all have come into being because they’re preying on this exact problem. The other side to this is whenever a positive role model does step up, says things that make sense and encourages them to go out and make a meaningful impact on their own lives, it’s decried as “gay” “pathetic” “simp” or some other issue. You simply cannot win with them.

It also doesn’t help that a large section of the media are also pushing the narrative that inclusivity is “woke” and somehow bad. This gives a certain amount of validation to some of these misogynistic arseholes

If it's just an echo-chamber to double-down on the beliefs that got them there in there in the first place - then it's doing nothing good for anyone. There are some positive men's groups out there and a need for them socially, that will always have my support. A significant proportion of men's issues is around being vulnerable, when that barrier is cracked they start challenging toxic behaviour and taking ownership of their feelings. E.g. Women are bitches or sluts etc becomes I feel lonely. You get a group where one guy can say that then you often find others willingly follow suit. Men can be very nurturing once they feel safe to do so. I have complete conviction that the issues are predominantly socially constructed, rather than inherently biological. I've seen it happen many times.

My theory is that people are capitalising on that very normal moment in everyone's life, where you're feeling incredibly self-conscious and your world is still very small. In the case of teenage boys, they see stuff that they didn't know is sexist (other isms also apply) being put down as sexist, and get upset (don't we all, at first). Two things can happen: they can double down or they can learn more. Doubling down is profitable for a lot of the leaders here, so they create an echo chamber. Without the internet, this would be less possible, and these kids would get over it (as many/ most of us have gotten over similar things).

Yeah, in “influencer” world, you don’t make headlines for saying mundane things. You have to rattle the cage and “agitate”. Doesn’t matter how. I wonder what religion he will go for next. Not sure where religion he was when he got married in a local COE church here in Henley

"The manosphere in its current guise is laugable and dead in the water. Most of the more famous ones have been demonetised on the major platforms and are now begging followers for money. They regurgitate the same few points ad Infinitum. Essentially: 1. If you are female and not 18-20 and virginal you are a whore. (And its definitely not that I am so insecure I can't handle the thought of you being with someone better or bigger than me) 2. If you are female and you are 26+ you have hit the wall and have no value. 3. If you are a mother, you have no value. 4. No man cares about your achievements. 5. Any opinion a woman may have that doesn't 100% agree with me is invalid, as she is a whore. 6. It's perfectly natural for men age 30+ to want 18 year old virgin women. 7. It's fine for me, as a man to bang as many women as possible, while you remain chaste. In fact women love that shit. It makes me a high value man. 8. Even though I want you young and inexperienced I want you to fuck like a seasoned pornstar, and let me 'guide' you. 9. Repeat 1-8. But get louder and shout women down while you do it. But I’m clever and wise enough to know that they’re minute in the whole scheme of things, just as what this thread is about. Three people (guys) possibly on TikTok get a lot of attention from their twisted attitudes of what a guy should be and what women should act like, And if women are judging me on that….. haha. And I hope to God that we all know that what these men are trying to push on the Internet on the little 15 second videos he’s just utter shite and isn’t the views of ALL men. That’s not what we’re about…. We are a lot more simpler than that.

Even though I want you young and inexperienced I want you to fuck like a seasoned pornstar, and let me 'guide' you. 9. Repeat 1-8. But get louder and shout women down while you do it. OK, saved everyone some time." Haha for real? And they actually expect to be taken serious sprouting shit like that? I’m all for men sorting their own shit out and have repeatedly drummed it onto my sons to acquire their own money, house, assets ect rather than the outdated fairytale shite of “finding someone to build a life with” but do it quietly for yourself no mate to hate or put down anyone just to your thing and get in with it These types of shit garner a lot of criticism and rightly so but is it really any different to some of the shite spewed on here? OK, saved everyone some time. JHFC ! Have we gone back to the dark ages ?! Unbelievable! " In some spheres yes, we've gone back to the dark ages. In many ways, we never left it. None of this manosphere crap surprises me at all.

"I'd never heard of it but from what I can gather it's men moaning about how hard done by they are because of bloody women not putting out or getting ideas above their station There's often a fascinating venn diagram of dudes who think that the government should be small enough to drown in a bathtub, but also big enough to hand them all out supermodels under the age of 25, because all men deserve no less than the best, while women expire. Quite right too. Bitches should know their place. They exist to service us (or is that what the Borg say?) Anyway, I ain't getting enough and it fucks my head up. Honest, judge, it's true. What you'll really love is how young the peak of womanhood is. That age is (censored due to age of consent in Britain and Fab rules). Best for making babies. Society is too woke expecting women to get a full secondary education " Oo-er. That sounds potentially troublesome. 'Fortunately' my occasional fuck buddy is waaay past child bearing age, so no worry about getting my collar felt by the rozzers.
