How about letting your partner go through whatever changes are happening with support and understanding, rather than adding the pressure of trying to arrange ‘meets’.

Communication and probably clubs are the best bet on days that work for her.

Having gone through menopause. It creates a lot of problems for many women and is so much more than what you have described.

Do some research so that you have a better understanding of menopause. She needs your support and understanding.

How is menopause a couples thing? Are you concerned about her health and well being or is menopause inconveniencing you somewhat?

Maybe talk to your lady instead of a forum full of strangers about her

Yes we are like this I've recently in the last 6 months started hrt patches and they have helped to calm 90% of my menopause issues and in turn starting the menopause has also added some other health issues to the mix so I can totally relate to the ladies symptoms and moods

If it affects her health, mood and her sleep patterns are all over the place it will have a knock on affect for her partner/family, So yes it is a couple thing

I suggest a visit to your GP together. Try to find one who knows a bit about women's health. Also read around the subject there are a lot of resources on line but try to avoid quacks and snake oil sales people.

The more you know, the better you can understand.

Best wishes to both

Does a partners mood impact the other? If you had an active regular sex life and then that disappears, does that not impact the other partner? Can there be negative impacts on a males mental health, if dealing with a women whose personality changes daily?

I believe menopause is most definitely a couple issue. And I don't think it is a bad thing to ask other couples how they navigate menopause together. In fact I think it's rather sensible in all honesty.

I'm not going through the menopause yet or if I am I'm one of the lucky ones (wishful thinking) .

Maybe read up on it together and discuss any treatments that might help her and in turn help you both as a couple.

My mate because of the pill didn't have periods. Went to the GP because she wasn't feeling right, and she'd gone through the menopause and out the other end without noticing! I'm crossing fingers I'm like that but I'm a hormonal bitch every month as it is, I suspect there will be clues

I had a mirena coil until my late fifties and didn't notice much difference. However I do have lasting effects from menopause.

Yeah she's only early 40s and her GP gave her a load of bad advive. I may have sent her a load of research which she took to her GP. She's now on HRT to prevent osteoporosis etc. Shocking how little GPs know

I've had two GPs give me conflicting advice on exactly the same problem. One telling me the treatment the other prescribed was dangerous.

My partner has said for years its something that should be talked about more often in school as in her experience it was only after talking with older friends or family members that she started to understand the issues Women go through

For too long 'menopausal' has been used as an insult. The emphasis on remaining youthful ensures that will continue.

But we must remain youthful at all costs. The amount of people who ask if I'm going to dye my hair because it's going white at the sides is ridiculous

I have one stripe above each ear which are really white compared to the rest of my hair. Which is why I think people comment so much. I'll be glad when I'll go a bit more white so won't be as prominent.
