Just watched the local news, and both of the local wildlife parks have had to step up security to stop black rhino poachers, after a tip off that they were being targeted for their horns as the horns are worth silly money, I think they said 26k a kilo!!!! |

Evil poachers are plotting to slaughter the critically endangered black rhino herd at Kent’s wildlife parks to get their hands on valuable rhino horns.
Conservation charity the Aspinall Foundation, which runs Port Lympne near Hythe, and Howletts near Canterbury, have been warned by police to step up security following a tip-off that poachers have specifically targeted the parks as part of a nationwide plot.
It is believed to be the first time hunters have plotted raids in the UK.
Poachers in Africa hunt rhinos relentlessly in pursuit of their horns, which can fetch up to £50,000 per kilogramme, making them as valuable as gold.
Sorry I had a few facts wrong.... But just took this from the World Wide Web!!
They are asking for volunteers to keep watch! Some people really do amaze me, how could anyone want to kill such a lovely creature for greed?? |

"What magical powers does the horn possess "
None so it seems, they are made of keratin and are used for ornaments and for traditional medicines apparently |

They're asking for volunteers to help stop men with large calibre rifles. How are they going to accomplish that? Tell their parents?!...lol
In all seriousness though, I hope this is one of those stories that's become blown out of proportion as it would be such a shame to loose such an incredible animal for something as ridiculous as money... |

"Who are these people that think killing another lifeform justifies another piece of dust gathering trinketry "
Unfortunately most of it goes in traditional erectile dysfunction medications (yes men are that simple: the hardest to get horn =the most potent horn! ) |

Time to play 'slaughter the poachers' if they get identified. And the same sentiment goes for any scum who set out to deliberately hurt animals. Rich |
