"Paris
I agree. Hated it !"
I've been twice, once in 1999, absolutely hated, second time in 2012 (I think) went with my kids (was visiting DLP) and while not as bad, still wasn't a fan. No need to go back a third time lol |

"Paris "
Paris is so bad, the Japanese actually invented 'Paris Syndrome' for when you realise how shit it is compared to the image of it.
To quote:
It's said that the city of love has been so idealised, particularly in Japanese culture, that when visiting Paris, tourists actually suffer physical consequences from disappointment. The culture shock is so great, that they experience symptoms as severe as hallucinations, rapid heart rate, dizziness, and nausea. |

Athens
Blackpool
Paris and Athens are getting a lot of bad press this morning.
" Paris is full of tramps, expensive and food not great the sights are like London mind so thats a plus if you can get around to see them, didn't like the metro. Athens no planning they have beautiful historic buildings then build a modern building which becomes derelict then a very modern skyscraper hotel nowhere decent to eat except the gorgeous hotel i stayed in. Blackpool well they have the bulbs and a rusty tower |

BBC tv studios tour. Someone had been several years previously and said it was great. Unfortunately security had been stepped up so it was mostly just looking down a load of corridors while the guide hurried us along saying "x was filmed down there". Half the time was spent in a room recreating a tv show with other tourists which was not as interesting as it sounds. |

Arghh try again.... stupid fat fingers.
I loved Athens in spite of bad press and really liked the graffiti. I stayed close to the centre so LOTS of places to eat. I was very pleasantly surprised by the city actually. |
