"My daughter has a dog classed as an emotional support animal, the difference with the dog vs without it is night and day. In the right circumstances I support it and recognise the value.

Totally get that! But I'm curious when does it not just being owning a dog? Other than differences getting on planes/trains? Does she take the dog to work? Does she need it to shop with? |

My daughter cannot work due to health conditions. She needs support to leave her flat as she is unable to do so on her own for safety. It's a complex situation with many factors.
Her situation is at the higher end of the spectrum in terms of needs and help required. |

Some people believe that a crystal in their pocket will protect them from danger. I can understand how a living, breathing sentient being would give someone enough support to do things they'd feel unable to alone |

I have a guide dog and he is vital to me for forgetting me around, going to shops et cetera so I definitely do get it |

Genuinely no idea I personally didn't see any difference however she did manage to travel me alone via train one time with having the support animal with her so maybe it's a mind thing. She did suffer from complex ptsd aswell as anxiety and depression so I used to think surely that's going be worse when people want to ask questions and stuff about the animal then again I'm no Dr and she seemed a little bit happier go out and about with the support animal so if it's not hurting people let people do as they please I say |

I'm curious as hell. What happens if she was out for a long period. Usually beardies spend long periods of time basking under a heat lamp |

You're correct they use the heat mat thing like snakes I'm no expert on reptiles but yeah her little bearded would essentially be cuddled into her using her body heat I stayed over 3 hours away from her had a vivarium here just for when she was coming my way. |

Guide dogs are obviously known and catered for in society. Support animals are relatively new |
