Anyway, my personal dislike of language usage aside, yes, the fora (long live twuntery) can be a brilliant place to find people. Socially. Those you want to have sex with. Go on to have sex with.
And then sometimes you find people that you'd like to have sex with but also do so much more with. Date. Enjoy a deeper connection with.
I really like those times. And yes, that can happen off the back of threads, of posts.  |

The forums have done absolute wonders for me on Fab. It's allowed me to make some great friends as a result of meeting them at group socials, I've met some privately and there have been some truly special moments I've shared with special people as a result of being on the forums that never would've happened had I only tried to meet locally. I can't advocate for them enough |

I find the forums have helped show that I'm am as funny as my profile (used to) suggest and so has been a gold mine... Without the forums everyone assumed I was too good to be true.

I have met one person I got chatting to on the forum. It was an "ask in private, answer in public" thread that got us chatting and we hit it off.
Sadly he's UNLOS now, but we had a great time and I'm glad to have known him
Otherwise no, I don't spend enough time in the forum to get to know or be known well enough to meet up. |

Casting aside my jocular remarks from earlier...
YES — the fora can be another place to 'find' meets, based on personal experience. Although - I hasten to add - I don't actively go looking for them.
Most - but not all - of my 'engagements' have germinated from the fora, often in the form of habitual forum lurkers who perused the Lounge but never participated; they had noticed my presence on the threads and messaged me totally out of the blue. Messages exchanged between fora folk were mostly on the back of some thread, game or challenge. It's not always plain sailing: the geographical disparities makes meeting most of them an insurmountable challenge at best and an impossibility at worse (mostly the latter).
I see nothing inherently wrong with meeting (or 'meeting') people from here. When you make that leap from being just another person from Fab to a person on the forums does it change you? You're still the same person and the same profile. A profile only tells half the story. I glean more about them and their personalities by their interactions and how they conduct themselves on here. Some are good citizens and some less so.
There are quite a few people on the fora with whom I would like to meet / socialise because I find them interesting, intriguing, sexy and/or fascinating.
Granted, this isn't the only place to meet... all my other interactions have been with those who were extraneous to the fora altogether; they were just regular Fab women, local or afar. |

I think forums are a place where you come to peoples attention who may not have found you otherwise (in a good or bad way). On here as a couple people have sometimes touched base with us because they've seen us on the forums. As a single guy I'd say a few of the women I've met noticed me initially on the forums and messaged me privately.
