Not like they used to be, you can get them weeks in advance from anywhere
When we where kids we would go and queue outside the bakery with everyone else way before opening time. It was part of the tradition back then |

I'm making some. They are in the airing cupboard proving! Taking bloody ages.
Funny thing is the ingredients cost nearly a fiver. On the way out of the store they were on sale 8 buns for a £1.00. I've made 11 buns.
Hopefully they will taste good!
