Building on previous parkrun and fitness accountability threads, what races are people doing this summer? 10k’s Half’s, maybe even the odd crazy person doing an Iron Man or Ultra.
I’ll be at Bristol and Swansea half’s this year. |

None this year but would like to get back into shape to do the north run again as that was an incredible experience |

I thought it might be fun to enter a timed ultra of sorts… 5k loops, 10 of, with a time allowance for each loop that gets shorter the more loops you do.
As loop 10 is a 20 minute time limit and my 5k PB is about 26 mins on fresh legs, I know I won’t be finishing but I figured round 6 is a good one to aim for |

Got the GNR in September but not sure if I’ll do it as might be on a works course that week and if I am I won’t do it as I’ll need to do a bit of prepping and want to feel fresh as well on the Monday |

Oooh. I did this race this morning. If you’re a runner and can get to lincolnshire, I can highly recommend it. Exceptionally good fun. I tapped out at loop 5/25km. Furthest I’ve ever run and only my second ever trail run so I’ll take it.
No more race runs planned at the moment though |
