Hey, is it a social faux pas to fab all the imagines of someone you like, or is it better to pic just on or two of their best?
Do the extra fabs help ‘the great algorithm’ see how popular a profile is? |

The algorithm comment was a bit tongue in cheek. I don’t think fab has one. But more and more on social media and networking platforms people only seem to interact if it helps their profile work the meta algorithm. |

What's the motivation for fabbing the pics?
Do you actually like them all and they deserve it?
Or is it in hope that because you've done it they'll look at your profile and get in touch?
Because the former is fine and the latter possibly unlikely. When some pics receive thousands of fabs I doubt the photo owner will have the time or inclination to look at everyone that's done it. |

Fab doesn't really work that way but you do see more and more of that mindset. |

Liking all of my photos makes me think someone is more invested in being noticed by doing so than they are actually appreciating the images.
But people interpret things differently. There's no hard and fast rules. |

Personally, someone fabbing all my photos doesn't make me more inclined to interact with them, a) because I don't really notice who's fabbed what, and b) because if I'm not interested, them fabbing one photo or ten photos isn't going to change that |

Interesting. We take the opposite view and think “wow, they must like what they see”. Different interpretations, as you say x |

Over the years a handful of people have fabbed every one of my pics and I have noticed because I rarely get fabs.
Most of those people were outside my age filters and couldn't message so for that same reason I wasn't interested and that was as far as it went.
Others who were able to message and have done this have often followed it up by commenting directly to me or about me in a forum thread.
I've never followed up on any of those either because I much prefer they sent a message.
Anything else just feels like a game,a chase or a dance, all of which are more off-putting. |

I'm not sure that Fab is that technologically advanced ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

Fab as many as you want OP. If they are thinking people are wanting to get noticed by fabbing pics, maybe they should remove the like feature, or maybe not have 500 public pics to sift though (so people wouldn't notice them).
They might also realise that fabbing a pic likely saves on a wasted message of 'you look great', due to not being remotely local. |

If a profile strap line piques my interest i normally click on it and read it in full (yes I'm one of the few who reads profiles )
After reading it in full there's usually sub criteria that rules me out of their catchment requirements.
Out of respect to them and to their appealing good pics plus a token of courtesy to themselves, I tend to fab the pics that i appreciate. |
