I was lucky in that my older brothers were heavily into music so I got to listen to early Queen, Boomtown Rats and a plethora of other rock & punk without having to buy it.

I had many, many copies. I even went to the poll winners party one year, 1998 I believe, camped out all night for tickets when that was a thing and then went straight to Wembley for a boyzone concert (I think there may have been a pitstop at fleet street to see 5ive come out the sun or something). My first album was Sucking in the 70’s a Rolling Stones compilation which I got from the very old and much missed Virgin Records store on Bull Street in Birmingham.
