I think it was Paradise City by Gun's and Roses it had I Used to Love Her on the b-side.
Where did I buy that... it was in a record store that became a HMV, but I can't remember what it was called.
That's going to bug me now.

"Mine was the Manic Street Preachers album Generation Terrorism. Purchased from an independent shop called ‘The Music Room’ on Crown Walk. "
So pleased they didn’t follow through on doing the album then breaking up. But Holy Bible prob should have been the last album for MSP. |

"Uhm...can we exclude the "Disney Classics" I got when I was 6 with Birthday money, and go straight to Blondie's "Sunday Girl" when I was 12?
Please??
That’s a big ask. "
But not as big an ask as wishing upon a star to see an elephant fly.
Oh balls...I'm 6 and Disneyed again... |

Squeeze - Cool for Cats it was a pink record if I remember right, probably still in a box somewhere in the attic. It was a few years after it was released though, I think I’d have been about 4 and just loved the album cover |

How did you know I'd disappeared to the bathroom to play with "Victory"? . |

A right odd couple. Isn’t Anything by My Bloody Valentine, and Metallica’s Ride The Lightening at Our Price in Gloucester. Record shops were scary places and I think I just panicked and bought 2 records I’d read about in MM or Sounds. |

"Who used to have the bible aka smash hits. I used to have every copy, not sure what happened to them. I was very mainstream"
Smash Hits covered a lot of stuff. Not just the pop.
You might enjoy ‘The Giddy Carousel of Pop’ podcast. Each episode covers one issue. The most recent with Simon Price was great! |

"Bring It All Back by S Club 7. The happiest song ever made. I loved the 90’s. "
I just had a shower. Do you know what the soundtrack in my head was (and is)? "Don't stop, never give up, hold your head high and reach the top..."
Fucking bluenoses |

I was lucky in that my older brothers were heavily into music so I got to listen to early Queen, Boomtown Rats and a plethora of other rock & punk without having to buy it.
I'm embrarrassed to say the first one I bought with my own money was Waterloo by ABBA. I'm a lot cooler now ..... |

First one I bought was The Jam In the City, from Record House in our local high street. Was given too much change back, so bought a record cleaner as well. Had an innate respect for vinyl even as a 12 year old.

Our Price became Virgin. Family member worked for them.
You're probably thinking of FOPP. |

I had many, many copies. I even went to the poll winners party one year, 1998 I believe, camped out all night for tickets when that was a thing and then went straight to Wembley for a boyzone concert (I think there may have been a pitstop at fleet street to see 5ive come out the sun or something). I was not cool by any means but I had the time of my life lol x |

Mine was Message in a Bottle by the Police on green vinyl. I got it from an independent record store in Northfield, Birmingham called Studio Musica.
My first album was Sucking in the 70’s a Rolling Stones compilation which I got from the very old and much missed Virgin Records store on Bull Street in Birmingham. |
