Tempting as time is approaching and dreading it. Shall I knock on the neighbours and offer them twenty quid see if they do it or would that be weird? |

Sounds a bit like the plot of a 70s porno... If she answers the door in a negligee you know she will. Don't forget your tool belt though. To fix her plumbing in return. |

"Right I had enough. Cut the grass but no edging or titivating anything. Just a quick job. Now is your one an only chance to tell me why astroturf maybe a good option "
Don't do it, anything g artificial is never a good idea even though it may seem it at the time. Natural is best, yes effort needed to maintain but that effort keeps us fit and healthy so it's a win win...! |

Extract from University of Plymouth:-
"Why is artificial grass harmful to the environment?
Artificial grass does not provide any food for living creatures. It restricts access to the soil beneath for burrowing insects and to the ground above for soil dwellers such as worms.
It restricts access to natural materials like leaf litter and grass clippings – essential for feeding soil organisms like worms and microscopic animals and keeping the soil healthy.
Artificial grass reaches significantly greater temperatures than those reached by natural grass under the same weather conditions. Plastic lawns can overheat in hot weather making them unusable.
Artificial grass can contribute to global warming by absorbing significantly more radiation than living grass and, to a lesser extent, by displacing living plants that could remove carbon dioxide through photosynthesis." |

I love doing the mowing. I’m lucky enough to be able to do it wearing just shoes and ear defenders. |

I have astroturf. No mowing is obviously the highlight. Have to occasionally sweep it and pull out the odd random ! |
