Just for you darling…
From UD
When something doesn't go the way you want it to or you do something wrong, and there is nothing you can do to change it. Don't worry about it. Just put it in the past or. . ."charge it to the game".
I lost 500 hundred at the casino last night! Oh well charge it to the game.
or
I cheated on Kim last night, I didn't mean to but it just happened. Oh well she will never know, charge it to the game. |

Thank you. That's an example of how to use it but what does the game mean? |

It’s in the description

I think it means put it behind you and move on.
Me: my house just blew away in a hurricane. The hamster went with it.My collection of cockroaches from different youth hostels has been destroyed and I can't find my car keys.
Person who doesn't care much : oh well charge it to the game. |

Left work early, currently sitting in a pub garden soaking up the sun drinking fruity cider..

Very similar to one of my favourite sayings
"Oh well ain't my dad's house"
Basically as a kid playing round mates if something got smashed or broken
"Oh well ain't my dad's house"
This has transferred into my adult life when doing a rough job at work or some kind of catastrophic event has fallen on someone else's property
"Oh well ain't my dad's house"
So next time you are at a house party and accidentally knock over a bottle of red wine onto an expensive rug and the owners don't see it happen....

"A new way of saying ‘shit happens’?
That’s the one I equate it to
I’ll just keep saying shit happens then
Fewer words to say = less effort in life
I can't say "shit happens" at work though. "
Ah well, shit happens. |

"It’s just means to be stoic about losses or things going wrong.
The game is life. Charge it to the game = that’s life.
Someone actually gets it "
That makes sense.
I've not heard it in use, and haven't seen Mr Pickles thread wherein he used such a phrase. But at least noe I'm down with the kids and I'll not have to ask what someone is talking about! |

Friend of mine at work used to say "excrement occurs" which was work- safe. |

"... I need to ask:
What does "charge it to the game mean"?
Mrs KC² used this term a few moments ago, the wench, and I've seen others use it too."
This is what Google spat out:
phrase. to resign oneself to a loss and get over it.
I’m guessing the game being a metaphor for what ever the situation may be

"Keep a look out for my next thread. It's about NGLs. I only found out what they meant a few days ago.
Nerò
Gets
Laid?
•
Not quite. I don't get laid. I get bonked. They seduce me."
NGL, I love the word Bonk, |
