They’re a no for me. Never had a can of Monster. Not sure what the appeal is. One of the quirks of ADHD is that caffeine and sometimes other stimuli don’t hit in the same way, I can drink and espresso and still asleep 20 min later. |

It's a yes from both of us. Before training usually.
Bit picky about which ones thought and always the sugar free ones.
A lot of the monster ultra ones are nice and some of the Reign ones.
That said most energy drinks are absolutely rank. And red bull reminds me of calpol |

"Are you someone who likes them or is it a no no for you ? "
Not good on an ongoing basis.
If you need these drinks for energy then you probably need to take a look at your diet, and get your energy in a healthier way.
Energy drinks are generally overpriced muck |

They are pretty bad for you most brands, but that is common knowledge. Red Bull gives me flashbacks of my messy raving days which I have moved on from haha. However Zen energy brand seems to be healthier than a lot of the others, so if I really must have one I try to have Zen now. But I generally avoid all as best I can |

"They should all be banned, they might as well call them diabetes drink."
This country is enough of a Nanny State already
Although, if prohibition does come in I do fancy myself as being a bootlegger |

I have been semi addicted to them since my early teens. Monster is pretty much my blood type now….its a problem. Though not the old Kyle memes. Mainly just cans are always somewhere |

"Friend of mine ended up in hospital with heart issues from drinking too many of these. They can do real damage!"
A young friend of mine (20’s), died after consuming a lot of these on a night out (no, wasn’t alcohol poisoning). Doctors said it wasn’t the first case they had seen. |

"Don't really drink them. Between coffee and a pre-work out, the last thing I need is another conduit for getting caffeine into my body"
Oddly enough I have a few friends who are adamant energy drinks are the devil's work but consume pre workout like its fresh spring water |

They taste disgusting but can help me stay awake when I need to. If I'm going to be a driving long distance at night I chuck a couple in the car. Just had one now because some arsehole on the street was mowing their lawn before 7.30 this morning, woke me 2 hours early and consequently I've been utterly buggered all day.
I buy the cheapest ones I can find, tesco do one with just as much caffeine and sugar as red bull, at a quarter the price. They all taste grim, so I just go for best wakeup per pound effect. |

I suppose it's the extra sugars and additives that make energy drinks less than ideal. In addition to the caffeine, pre-workout will also include creatine, BCAAs and some vitamins to aid your workout |

Last time I had an energy drink was 2005. A month in Las Vegas drinking nothing but vodka and redbull every single night put me off for good.
I will have an emergency bottle of lucozade if I am getting tattooed, but that's it. |

"Never. I drink water and a bit of juice pretty much exclusively. I have no need of energy drinks. I need to reduce my calorie intake, not increase it. Luke "
Zero sugar ones are only like 13 calories a can |

I used to drink a good amount of red bull, but migraines started plaguing me.
Recently i discovered aussie lemon monster, it is delicious, a really nice cloudy lemonade. Bonus, having adhd there's something in the monster that made my brain clearer for a bit, but I had to limit myself to 1 per day, as the joys of adhd comes with a propensity to addiction, and if I didn't impose the 1 a day limit I'd be going thru them!!
I have however stopped drinking them regularly, and they're back to a once in a while treat,.or if I know I've got a full on day of work planned. |

I drink Monster when I'm doing my longer cycle rides (100 miles plus), I mix it with water and drink it on the return leg (last 50/60 miles); it's like rocket fuel for me, I feel fully recharged. |
