Somewhere

Interested to know how many folk do actually still use little independent food shops for their shopping these days? I don't just mean popping in somewhere for a cuppa and a slice of cake. Does anyone still have time to tootle round the Butchers, Bakers, and Candlestick makers? Or do you just head to Asda instead?

There are no decent butchers or greengrocers near us. If there were we'd use them

The Continental

I have a road that basically consists of take away joints and barbers/hairdressers.

Neither of which I need daily. I’d shop local if there were shops worth going into.

I do , got a butchers across the road , who until recently along with his wife had a bakery a few doors along, it’s now a Romanian bakery, yet to try it.

We have fantastic Asian grocers here , far better than supermarkets packaged pish

I used to use the butchers near my daughter's but they're under new management and only sell halal meat, so I don't shop there now.

There's a bakers near my other daughter that sells fresh crusty rolls and all kinds of pastries, cakes, doughnuts etc, that I shop in now and then.

I use the grocers that sells some Co-op goods, including fresh meat, and the big grocers for a quick shop.

I don't like the idea of buying fruit and veg from outside shops on bus routes or busy roads.

My brain tells me they're absorbing pollution from the traffic
