How do you tell the difference between a real account and a fake?
I'm still newish online but I'm not totally naive and I definitely don't fall for bullshit lines.
But the more advanced fake accounts might catch me out. |

There’s no foolproof way to not fall for a fake, but in my experience most fake ones want to move things fast , meet or move to a different platform.
Take it at your pace and keep it on here until you are comfortable |

What i meant, I didnt explain quite right.
I have no issue with messaging here. I do use kik and find it very useful as i get notifications on it. I dont get notifications if i recieve a new message here. So after a while of messaging back and forth on here i will suggest taking it to another platform. Not necessarily whatsapp as the person can then have my phone number. With kik, its anonamous. I know some people think everyone on kik is fake but i genuinely find it a useful platform.
But ultimately there is no fool proof way of spotting a fake. I have been wrong a few times, thinking someone was but was and indeed vice versa |

That's interesting. Whenever women offer their phone number I hold off for a week or longer, giving them an explanation. It's because it throws me off-guard, I'm less trustful of such cavalier gestures of giving personal numbers. If she's giving me her number then I can't help feeling she's talking to half a dozen other men, concurrently. Also you can image search on their pictures, I have court if you out with that.
They may ask for money which at first seam to be genuine but again don't do it.
Look at the language they use, the grandma and spelling is it consistent. |

if I get tired of messages, I hide it too. And most men I have been with hide it every so often too. And they are all genuine.
I find it weird if someone is chatting and trying to arrange meets while the profile is hidden. That is weird. But hidden while taking a brake is totally normal |

Nothing is fool proof. However, we oly really look at those with verified by another FS member and profile of the people that verified the account, their profile is not hidden
The few guys we have met - we have asked many questions and imo, those not real or real in the claims they make, soon out themselves by being rude and worse. |

Are fake male accounts a thing?
If you're looking for couples, watch out for things like the woman is never available & there's just pics of him. Also wanting to move to pic swap or sex chat usually is because it's a man wanting wank fodder. |

If it's an alleged couple ask for a phone conversation with both of them before moving forward. That usually does the trick.
The male half of a couple mailed me yesterday saying his wife wanted to meet as she liked older guys. On his second mail he asked about WhatsApp. I said sure after I have spoken to you both on the phone.

It can be hard (pun intended ) to spot
I got propositioned by a couple on here ... with verifications .... and as a single male I was very excited as that doesn't happen ...
So I sent face pics etc and asked for some in return kept saying closer to the time ....
Never received any and meet never happened |

Admin keep clearing my update warning people that milf51 is likely a fake account. At best a time waster. Went missing and stopped messaging as the date arrived. “Her” photos are from a USA site. Yet they clear my status and let the fake account carry on.

I agree with the it they seem too good to be true then they’re probably fake
I’ve had four different ones all sounded perfect and met what I was looking for chatted for a while and then I’ve been blocked. One came back with a new profile but same pics and when I pulled him up on it he blocked me instantly. |

Hard to say really, I’ve been on here for a while and never found a sure certain way. The only time I found it was a dead give away was because they used a photo of another popular fabbers body pic who comes on the forums a lot so instantly new something wasn’t right  xx |

I do the Kevin Bacon approach. If they are verified, great, but then I look at the verifications of the verifications and so on, once they have a few degrees of separation I know (or am more confident) they are genuine.
That said, I had a great meet with someone who was only verified by photo. Her fabginity. Everyone has to start somewhere!
