As the weather is getting warmer, it got me thinking about songs that remind me of summer. Of course there are the obvious ones (Summertime by Will Smith and Summertime by Vybz Kartel)

For me it’s probably
‘Somewhere in my heart’ by Aztec Camera.
I had a summer job when younger and this was constantly on the radio.
‘Toy soldiers’ by Martika was a hit when I was on holiday in Florida - first holiday abroad - that also strikes a similar chord. |

Anything by Bob Marley - reminds me of summers in Spain.
Eiffel 65 - Blue (Da Ba Dee) - reminds me of a holiday in Mallorca.
Toploader - Dancing in the Moonlight - reminds me of listening to Rock FM in the summers whilst a teenager.
Anything with a Latin rhythm - makes me want to get on the dancefloor but it's kinda hard now. |
