Do I have to choose? Because I adore both. Maybe cats have the edge, but only slightly, and that's because they don't need taking out for walks in all weathers.

Dogs- they are always 100% happy to see you when you come home and great you with so much love and they just know when you need that extra furry cuddle after a shit day at work

Cats have an attitude problem and are too independent for my liking!

I’ve 3 dogs and 2 cats. Dogs are more loyal. And some breeds will die to protect their human family

I'm definitely a cat person, they make you work for their love .

when they choose to sit on or near you , you feel so privileged.

They go in the litter tray so you don't have to take them out in the rain for them to do their business.

I look after my brother's dog a few times a year and omg so demanding, worse than a toddler.

Cats, as they don't show the old bill where your stash is at

Cats. I like dogs a lot but they are too needy so small doses work better for me.

Cats are a lot easier to look after but dogs are more affectionate and loyal

Dogs for me as they tend to be more loving.

I don’t mind cats but they’re all over you one minute and the next they couldn’t care less about you.

Tonypandy.

Love dogs, but wouldn't be fair to have one with my work schedule.

I have a cat which I rescued from under a bush when he was a kitten. He is a psycho.

Cats are smarter but only because they're not completely domesticated. I'm a dog owner so going to say dog due to nothing other than pure bias.
