Ok so be kind please!

I am a single 38yo with no children who has become recently single and struggling with companionship given my social circle no longer exist due to marriage and kids. I am straight and this is a non sexual post (shock horror) but does anyone know of any groups on here or elsewhere where single people are looking to get to know each other for companionship to go on holidays or days out together etc. Like i said this isnt sexual but more of a friendship/companionship situation. Cant just be me whose a loner lol x

London

I live in London. But I do go around the country a lot for hiking. Are you into hiking? Happy to keep it purely social.

North West

There's a few companies that specialise in singles holidays (not just for older people!) but they can be very expensive. I'm not single but have been on trips abroad on my own and made loads of friends. I went on language courses abroad, which include organised excursions and meals and have made wonderful friends from it. Things like that.

There is a Northampton Town Centre social held in a normal pub situation,no play/sexual behaviour every so often.

Next one is end of June.

Great way to meet new people and bus station is literally a 2 min walk round the corner and the train station is not too far to walk either.

Somewhere

Are you into any hobbies or anything OP? See what's on in your local area and if anything appeals? Best way to meet new folk is going to places they'll be. You can look to book onto tours and excursions on holiday, you'll probably get chatting to others that way too. There used to be a thing called Meetup - not sure if it still exists online, but that was for people looking for various stuff to join. If you're on FB see if there's any groups near you there too? Failing that it's good to reach out in the workplace to try and make new friends if possible.

Leeds

Mercury have a good selection of holidays with no single supplement, including guided tours for solo travellers. I highly recommend them.

Have a look online at things like meet up, there are others. They have all sorts of social groups you can join. They're aimed at singles who have moved to a new area and want to socialise with like minded people.

Tinder & here - you don’t have to have sex with everyone - lots of people are looking and finding friends.
