Reporting no shows

I have started reporting profiles who don't show up to arranged meets. One of them had the cheek to say they are 5 minutes away, never to show up then next day(!) claim they were stopped by police. So, does anybody know what happens if someone gets reported by multiple people? Is it worth doing it? I know of a couple who has done it to at least 3-4 people I know. We all reported them and nothing happened, they're still on.

Who cares!? It’s all part of the process. Be kind! Not everyone is at the same point as you. This can be challenging for some people.

People have the right to not show up for a meet, yes it is very annoying and inconsiderate but would you really rather sit there with someone who doesn't want to be there wasting each others time or be let down and able to make alternative plans.

I don't think it really matters much. Slightly annoying of someone's a no show, but I'd rather that than someone going along with it and not being keen.

I honestly don't think anything will happen to be honest, but there is certainly no harm in trying.

I can't understand the logic of people who do this as they will be the ones moaning "I never get a reply".

Don't take it personally, move on and stay safe.

no shows are annoying - i actually have only ever had one no show, well 2 but the other one I knew wasnt going so when he sent the apology for not turning up 2 days later - i hadnt been there either, i was in the shop buying ice cream

I find people ghost after arranging - i would rather someone say - not going to make it or dont want to do it now - then i can organise something else.

As for reporting, if they not meeting you are they meeting someone else ?? its one of those 'things'

Frustrating from both angles. It does make it difficult for others, as many profiles require verifications because of this-I don’t have any because I have not had any positive replies yet. However I do understand that people may get cold feet etc etc. This is why I won’t go more than 1-1.5 hours down the road-imagine driving 4 or 5 hours-that would be a very long drive back!

I think its rude for sure , yeah of course people can change their mind and things come up but a simple text would clarify and not waste anyones time.

Having said that nothing will be done just block and move on. I just don't arrange meets through fab anymore my time is limited and precious so when I'm free I go to the club.

Things happen or people change their mind too. Personally, I think is common courtecy to let the other party know of course but sadly not everyone does.

When you're on your way somewhere and get pulled over, do you continue on your destination and be late or do you turn around and go home and not make contact for 2 days with the person you were going to meet?

Be kind? Really? It does take a bit of effort to get dolled up for us girls, you know. I would never just not show up to an arranged meet. At least lie that something came up not make me believe that you are on the way just making me wait wait and feel like an idiot...

Exactly. The last time I was pulled over They only kept me for about 15 minutes max.

Depends on whether when I've been pulled over the police have confiscated my car and left me by the side of the road and I'm worried about how ill get home and to work . Or if they've pulled me over and found me over the drink drive limit so arrested me.

There are things that do happen to people which makes thinking about someone you don't actually know and meeting for the first time right down the bottom of priority lists.

I've think trying to get people removed from a social site like fab just because they didn't show is not fair. If this site was an actual daring site then yes report them, but this site isn't one

I have no idea what people do or why. Maybe getting pulled over spoils their mood, maybe their car needed to be left. Maybe they changed their mind. Maybe they did arrive, and changed their mind. I have no idea and I suspect nor do you. Why waste energy and effort on things you can't influence or control. Sure it's pretty shitty to go silent but there are clearly some pretty selfish shitty people on here.

I think if a profile gets reported by multiple people for the same reason they should be removed as they clearly make a habit of wasting people's time. In an ideal world. Or they should come up with a review instead of verification

I’d just make a note in the comments and block them. The problem is even if they get removed, people will just rejoin.

This is why I don’t meet privately and stick to clubs. People are fickle.

How often is this happening?

How do you know they are not showing up for other meets?

I've never had a no show or been one so I can't speak about the experience.

If it happened to me once or twice I would chalk it up to experience.

If it was a regular occurrence I would be looking at how I was vetting the people I was arranging to meet.

I don't give men anything to wank over before arranging to meet.

The fantasists and masturbaters tend to get bored and bugger off to look for another victim.

I've only had one man not show, and I knew he wasn't going to drive all the way to me for a drink, so I didn't bother getting ready. He messaged in the morning to ask if we could put the meeting time back an hour and I thought, yea, you're not turning up, and I stayed in bed.

Unfortunately, even though lots of men complain about not getting meets, some of them are flakey or only want a wank.

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.

******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).

Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.

PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.

Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:

Your feedback has been saved.

A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.

By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.******
