I was 6ft aged 11. I didn't get a choice about standing out then, but I could at least decide what I'd be noticed for instead of just the results of the genetic lottery.
Mostly I'd like to just be. But I also can't claim I didn't actively choose a deliberately provocative aesthetic or attitude |

Erm, no, not particularly. There are some people that I do care when they reply to me - I kick my feet in glee sometimes or smile. Or I like and respect that they're challenging me. I'd still post without a reply from you and I don't think I stand out to you just because I got one. |

Being ginger means you stick out, it's has it's pros and cons over the years. Mainly pros these days.
I've rarely fitted the typical plaves, but that's due to my own awkwardness. But I do believe everyone wants to fit in somewhere regardless how much they protest they don't care. Doesn't everyone have and want a sense of belonging? I'm loved by some seriously lovely people, whom I adore. Everyone wants to love and be loved don't they? Regardless of it's romantic or other types.

You might not think you stand out, but I usually make a point of reading what you’ve written and seeing your name on a thread will often make me look at it.
There are plenty of people on the forum who I wouldn’t recognise, but a few who have struck a chord for some reason and make me smile when I see they’ve contributed. |

I know the why. I still don't want to stand out. When I post I hope I'm not ignored. There has to be a balance between the two.
Erm you agreeing with that view doesn't make me feel warm and fuzzy. That sounds quite harsh, sorry. It's more... there are posters who I'm good friends with or who I really respect etc. If they have that view of me? That makes me feel warm and fuzzy. It's about the sincerity and intent behind things. The relationship I have with another.
I love being loved by those I love but the world of Fab it's more likely to be lovebombing or limerence. |
