Bored and yet stressed.
I have a thing to do which I don’t know how to do, doesn’t really thrill me, and I can’t find any documentation or anyone to ask.
If I was in an office it would be a quick tea room chat. |

I am freelance I.T. and would never go back to an office. Too much chatter and noise! I have music on while working and can take breaks outside weather permitting. Sometimes have client visits but usually remote chat is fine. |

Fuck me I love working from home. People aren't bothering me, I can play whatever music I want, if I'm grumpy in the morning no one gives a shit...
Instant messaging and emails for everything please. I don't want to fucking talk to you. No office phone, just my mobile. Shit, did I flush it or leave it on silent? huh. well, anyway, email me. |

I'm about to go into a Teams meeting and have spent the morning trying to work out when three sets of people are free for meetings, x25. Exciting stuff. |

I'm not a lover of working at home. I enjoy having that separation of work and home lives. And I do actually like the commute from work where you run through the day on the way into work and then decompress on the way home.

I do hybrid - predominantly wfh - its a discipline- i do need the peace and quiet plus I get as many wank breaks as i want - meetings permitting…. Would be useful to find a fb to help with the wank breaks so i can do vid calls while they take care of the wank break duties … applications to my inbox!! |

I don't mind working from home, up to a certain point. I've now started venturing into the City, at least once a week, to break the monotony and for the sake of variety, and it's done me a world of good working from the office.
It's a refreshing change to meet people, grab a coffee, network, collaborate, keeping up my step count from the commute, traversing the London Underground, taking in some 'fresh' air... |

i used to love working from home, then it got a bit tedious when you dont see anyone all day and can never get hold of anyone to check stuff with. I was supposed to be hybrid but hardly went in . now im on a new job completely next week so no working from home its mainly working interventions well except for school holiday then from what i gather its skiving from home, so that will be good |

I love working from home, my job can be done completely remotely but I am in the office twice a week. When at home I can get other things done when work is quiet. I'll hopefully never go back to an office only job |

Love working from my apartment but often go to a local cafe , meet friends for coffee, or just spend a few hours have lunch and carry on working there & meet / chat to different people.
My daughter actually taught me this method it’s how she does her university.
I thought I would be more distracted and get less done but unless you are having back to back teams calls you can get very focused & get a lot of work done even in a fairly busy café.
You won’t be pulled into things like lounging on the sofa checking FAB like you will do in your own apartment. |

I work from home. My role works perfectly working from home as volume and quality of work is measured. I have not been in the office for over four years now and have not missed the commute, the snide remarks, the office politics or the various coughs and colds. |

I love working from home because I'm senior enough in my career that I don't need to network and I don't need to pick up behavioural norms from colleagues in an office. I appreciate for someone just starting out in their career it wouldn't be ideal.
I can focus at home as I live alone and have dedicated desk space - again, appreciate that's not true for everyone. It does make me far more productive (when I'm not being dragged into pointless calls for the sake of function visibility).
The biggest downside for me is that I find myself not fully switching off at times. During busy periods knowing my desk is right at hand makes me far more likely to log back in of an evening or weekend. I have tried to put routines into place to stop work encroaching on personal time but it's not an easy boundary for me.
All worth it to dress permanently in pyjama pants and slippers and to not drink grim office coffee while George in finance tells me about his weekend plans (sorry George, couldn't give a shite) before dragging myself through the rush hour traffic to get home. |

I mostly work from home and find that I'm much more productive then when I go into the office.
I'm in regular contact with colleagues so I don't feel isolated... it's also far too busy to ever get bored.
I also get out and about as well, so I'm not permanently tied to a desk. |
