25 years today since the bomb which killed 3. I was on my way to meet a friend there on the day and got held up in a row with my bf at the time.
A reminder we can all be a little more tolerant of each other.

On the very day of the bomb, my brother and I were in London, and wanted a drink. We were on Old Compton street (practically haunted the video emporiums there) and popped into the Admiral Duncan for a pint.
Not wanting to pay London prices for more beer, we headed for an offie to pick up some supplies for the trip back. 10 minutes later, there a heavy police presence around the West End and (in global pre-internet days) it was only when we got back a few hours later that we found out what had happened.
It's never seemed right to say that it was a close call. |

I remember this well - very sad and heartbreaking
Terror seems now only to be just under the skin of society
We need to remember even the tragic events like this to feel compassion and empathy |

actually dropped in for a beer the other month while visiting london in a jolly!
when i noticed the plaque mentioning it i googled it on the train coming home,
honestly knowing how small the place is must have been f*cking terrifying when the blast went off!
