I have a rewatch at least annually. It was my wife's favourite show. Probably mine too. And our daughter grew up with it.
(Actually, her tv role models were Captain Janeway (ST:Voyager), Commander Ivanova (Babylon 5), Buffy and Xena. And Ingrid Dracula. And Arya Stark ). |

Best villain - Always remember the master but glory is a good shout as it had some hard hitting moments - spike collapsing when Buffy died, Buffy giving up - so also fave series..

It's always amazing to me that after that movie, they managed to get backing for the TV series, and that it's as vid as it is. Chalk and cheese springs to mind.  |

I was a fan. I liked the episodes that were different/ subverted expectations. Hush, Once more with feeling to name a couple. A new me with Giles as a demon was hilarious.
Can't go wrong with Vampire Willow, and the banter between Angelus and wheelchair Spike in S2 was great. |

Also - Willow is played by Alyson Hannigan. Trivia: she's married to Alexis Denisof, who plays Wesley Wyndham-Price in Buffy and Angel (and does a great turn as the evil prince in Grimm). |

I think Buffy was absolutely the right show at the right time. As a young woman only slightly older than Buffy there were no other strong female role models on TV at that time, other than Xena, so Buffy really resonated with me. So much love for it |

Absolutely loved the series, which was the first show I watched avidly with my daughter.
Favourite character was, by a country mile, Spike. Such a pity they never gave him the spin-off show from Angel that was mooted at the time.
Favourite episode was Once More With Feeling. Could not believe how brilliant it was when we first watched it.
Like others above, need to rewatch this ASAP. |

Did anyone go and see the Spike one man tribute show? It’s been touring the UK, Edinburgh Festival, Australia…he extended the tour… if you haven’t seen it do look for it, it’s amazing!

I'm re watching
I'm upto The Puppet show and forgot how funny some scenes are
And how I felt watching the show the first time with the jump factor, actually feeling that 'heart races a little faster'

Watch the movie its fine, you can even enjoy the movie in its own campy cheesy rights. Where you get brilliant actors basically working for the paychecks. (Donald Sunderland and Rutgher Hauer) can also play a before they were famous (Ben afflex and hillary swank to name a couple). Even have some brilliant and quoateable lines, with my personal favourite being
"All I want to do is graduation from high school, go to Europe, marry Christian Slater and die" being my fav.
But whay you CAN'T ever do is compare the TV series to it. |

Seasons ranked favourite to least favourite:
5,2,3,1,6,4,7.
The top 3 changes regularly.
Favourite villain was Glory. Clare Kramer played her brilliantly. Good mix of humour to go with her obvious insanity.
Faith possibly my favourite character overall, I think her redemption arc is great.
If I had to pick a favourite episode it would be between Becoming, Parts 1 and 2, and The Gift. Both were incredible finales which did justice to the seasons they concluded.
I think Spike is a great character but I wasn't so much a fan of him and Buffy as a couple. Their relationship was consistently rooted in abuse, and on both sides.
