When you get back from work, quite tired and want something easy and quick to eat, what do you go for? Takeaway, microwave meal, cheese and biscuits, a bowl of ice cream a massive bar of chocolate, ..What is it?

I had a hard day and needed a quickie myself. Usually something like that or cereal or some comfort food like I did tonight and went for shepherds pie but not one I had to make myself.

Sadly, I wish, I was in that position. Got two ravenously hungry teenager spongers who insist on being fed and have trained me to give them puddings too. Don’t have children.

Nowadays. I’d probably have hummus, celery and a bit of Red Leicester and maybe a dip in the Almond butter.

I would knock out a ham, mushroom, tomato, chorizo and chilli omelette.

But I could rustle up a Thai curry in about 20 mins.
