"Working my arse off instead of enjoying my life and using your Nokia as a vibrator
Probably…what a shit life I’ve had.
It sounds fun to me. "
A quick release after 13 hour shifts.
Being called a weirdo for not being married and having kids by then.
Having no ambition other than to help people.
Sad that I couldn’t get a boyfriend and nobody was interested.

"At the age of 27. X"
It was 1997. I was finishing my time at uni, finally! It was the year that Tony Blair’s New Labour kicked the Tories out after ruling for my formative years. I went on holiday to Turkey and had sex with far too many boys. Princess Diana was murdered in Paris. The millennium dome was being built and I could see the workers from my bathroom window. Life was good. Disposable income was high, rent was cheap, working in the city of London square mile was exciting. Yeah, 27 was a good year. |

Xcountry skiing (and running; I was good at them. Whilst I'd lost all directions with my career and I was no longer in a relationship, my skiing (and running) were going really well and they were the only things stopping me from feeling hopeless at life. |

First half of being 27 I was creating a human being inside me, second half of being 27 I was wondering what the hell have I done! Whilst changing dirty nappies a million times a day.
Oh and dealing with milk dripping huge boobies. |

I was born. Polling day. 1997. And the world got a little bit worse from then on. Was it me? Was it Blair? Who knows. |

"Playing gigs on my own.
Usually opening for larger acts.
Practicing the guitar like a fiend.."
Most were underground acts. I can think of one that were managed by the happy mondays' management...and another that were on Depeche mode's label.. most never really became well known. |

Working my bollocks of trying to cover three separate borrowings, one of which was a short term unsecured loan with an interest rate of nearly 14%, it was a gamble but it payed off and am glad I took the risk. |

"Not having a clue generally "
To be fair, that still applies now for me
At 27, nothing of any note.
It got better when I turned 30, grew a pair (metaphorically speaking) and started working out what I wanted from life - and doing it |
