There are a few people I have a crush on and I told them, only one is local to me and we are chatting albeit I think it’s clear we like different things and look for different experiences on this site. But at least we can have a laugh  |

Absolute heartache from a crush? Oh, maybe you mean if it progresses then yeah sure, that could happen. You can face disappointment if it's not reciprocated.
It's worth it when it works though. As much as I'm relieved at times I've not said that, I can also think about the times where I'm still happy I said something. |

Yes. What have you got to lose? And I know it isn't pleasant being rejected, but why let it get you down and hold you back? Does it really matter that much if a stranger online doesn't want to bang you? I don't know, much bigger problems in life than crushing on someone and being afraid to let them know. |

Yes, I'm quite happy to tell someone I find them attractive (there is a big clue in that I'm writing to then ).
Using text messages, like these, isn't like talking in person, no body language, or tone of voice, so if I don't say something is attractive, how would they know... |

There’s a difference between me saying hello to a profile I like and actually ’crushing’ on someone though.
It’s easy to say hello and get knocked back from someone you dont know. |

Ah see, now this is why I probably wouldn't. There's a couple I do like but you tell them and it leads to conversation and the inevitable "so when are you free?". I just haven't the headspace for further conversations and meets right now.

What I will say, is, it appears thT men do appear to be better at it than the ladies.
It doesn't have to lead to anything, but sometimes it will lead to an amazing friendship.

I don't know if I'm that explicit when contacting a crush and confess my infatuation, sometimes i think them being a crush is better than the reality and let down. Lol. I did once chat with a crush we chatted briefly but then the messages stopped, she's still on my hot list and I still peruse her pics but alas my confidence is dented and she will remain a crush, that's OK though a boy can dream |
