You are given a set amount of time left to live.

You can live an exciting life for 10 years OR a mediocre life for 15 years before death. Which do you choose?

(Inspired by GC's death thread)

Depends on the age of my kids. At the moment I would choose 15 years. Once they're older and moved out then 10.

I did think children would be a factor for many. I'd say similar to you I think Frida X I'm curious what child free people would say.

I'll take the 10 exciting years,

No Kids here and I'm 50 in a few months. Having ten years of things to look forward to, would beat 15 mediocre ones, for me anyway.

Depends on what is classed as mediocre.

I great week for me would be breakfast in the cafe with friends, afternoon tea with family, kids having a great time at school, toss in some fun films and a few holidays lazing by a pool then yeah I can do that for 15 years.

An exciting life for 10 years sounds a bit too energetic for my lifestyle lol

The problem with 10 exciting years, would be that you would be having such a good time, you would be more loathe to end it probably.

Depends on your outlook I reckon. I'd be grateful to have had 10 awesome years

I agree. I think I'll resent dying regardless so, might as well enjoy what life I get

10 years would feel alot longer if you're full of busy, I'd live it up for a decade, philanthropy would definitely be part of it to leave a legacy
