Did you ever sleep on bunk beds anywhere either on land or on a boat? Did you take the top or bottom? I always went to the top as found the bottom clastophobic and worried the top might collapse on me. That was unless the top was too close to the ceiling when I had the bottom |

Used to work offshore and the general rule was that if you were on nightshift, you had the top bunk and dayshift would take the bottom bunk.
Top bunk was always cool as a kid....not so much as an adult |
