Things you've done once but never again.

With the London Marathon going on. This is something I've done once (I do enjoy running) I'm glad I did it. But it's not something I'll be doing again.
So my open question to the FAB masses is.
What have you done once, pleased you did/tried it but won't ever be doing again?

A kayak race down the Ax river in Devon. It was fun but I was so far out of my league it was a little embarrassing lol |

For me the marathon was just a distance too far to be healthy. Half Marathon yes that's fine. But doing the London Marathon I ended up with a bad running injury.
During the event I there was a point through the Canary Wharf I just thought was never going to END |

I'm too old now, anyway, but I served in the army (the SADF), and while it had huge downsides, I also did certain things that I'd never do as a civilian. So, yeah, that. Wouldn't do it again, though. |

"As a child I jumped off the top diving board into the 13ft deep diving area in my local swimming pool.
A boy who was a good diver encouraged me to do it.
I can't even jump in from poolside now.

The middle one was bad enough or me |

Did this last Christmas (went to Marrakesh with my daughter)
It's amazing how there is absolutely no natural rhythm to a camel's gait. |

Sane as you OP, from around 22 miles it was just absolute hell I’m glad I trained and completed it but will stick with half marathons.
Sexually would he sounding , it wasn’t that bad just unpleasant and unenjoyable.

"Eurotunnel
Why?
I think it’s the claustrophobic feeling of being trapped under tons of water and concrete.
I couldn’t breathe and had a full blown panic attack. "
Plus sitting in your car while travelling, only to get out to have to walk miles cos no toilets work and the ones that do are absolutely disgusting. |

Don't have an MRI, in that case. If I ever do that again, they'll have to knock me out. |

I don't like them either.
But you may be able to request an open one, so it doesn't feel like your locked in a coffin for 20 minutes. |

This! I was very excited about the Eurotunnel. The only thing I took away from it was bursting for a wee, and the toilets (toilet section) honking of piss |

Scrambling/ climbing without ropes.
Out of the group of people I used to do it with, it's amazing none of us died.
Very foolish.
Only stick to mountain pathways now.

Mine was probably visiting the German Christmas markets. I was very excited, imagined it'd be magical - Overpriced, very samey, could have gone to a local one instead.
GNR - Did it once, over hyped, lost a toenail after. |

I did, actually. They had to bring a doctor and hook me up to another machine to monitor my vitals in case I fainted (I didn’t but it was close). |

Have children, get married, ignore red flags, ignore my own boundaries, dp, eat black pudding. None of which I regret as it was lessons learnt.
Still lots of things I'd like to try though |
