"Nope. I go to train, not make women feel uncomfortable. "
However I'd imagine it to be pretty difficult for anybody to concentrate if some gorgeous lady wearing skin tight leggings not leaving much to the imagination came to you and asked you to be a spotter. Would be awkward to follow gym etiquette protocol in that particular situation.
Not that I know because I've never been a member of any gyms but can imagine my concentration wouldn't be on the weights if faced with a bubble butt in my face.

Being “so horny” wasn’t mentioned! It was assumed!
I’m simply suggesting sometimes attractive people that cause you to double take, glance. Not fucking abuse, touch, drool over.
Fucks sake. Is it now illegal to find someone attractive. |

It's only natural to have a lapse of concentration in such a scenario, and some women do it intentionally knowing men are weak.
Guys are so easy to entice it's hilariously funny and women know it. |

Don't let your eyes aligt on someone for a moment or allow yourself to be distracted by anybody whatsoever during exercise. There are very precise rules to follow regarding where you're allowed to look at people in any way other than neutrally and if you don't follow them, you're awful.

I’d say no not at all. These views are incredibly out dated and misogynistic especially from this OP. Let’s put someone’s safety and comfort at risk all because I can’t control my sexual urges.
Also we do not go to the gym “with nothing left to the imagination” we dress for ourselves. If I’m dressed for someone else it consensual and they know about it. |

If your reason for going to the gym is to perv then you are there for the wrong reasons.

Wowsers indeed, it's bad news if it's a regular complaint. I agree, one should be in a zone when training on achieving personal fitness and nobody should be made to feel uncomfortable.
Glad I ever felt the urge to go and/or be a member of any gyms.

This is also very true along with sitting on equipment but spending more time looking at their phone as apposed to exercising.

Fuck. All the time. It is a real effort not to trance out and stare. Managed to hook up with a lovely woman and a man (separately sadly). I think she might have been up for it but she annoyed me too much, or did I annoy her too much, I can’t remember. I have move to a weightlifting gym and fuck there are a few lovely folk there. They don’t seem to do these kinds of apps though. |

Last time I was ever in the gym, I was a student nurse. Sat opposite was a guy with a cheesy smile winking at me. I then remembered I had catheterised him the week before. My first male catheterisation. Hands all slippery fighting with his cock. I had to leave the gym and have never been back..put it this was I've been qualified for 12 years now ?????? |

Fuck and the women wear some of the least appropriate or necessary gym clothing you can imagine. It designed to lift and separate and make their workouts so much more effective. They wear it for themselves. Not so men or women might notice them. What rubbish. I fucking notice Plymouth Brethen women and wonder what’s underneath. |

In the gym this morning I was hugged by a delightful young lady who I have spoken to a few times. I then spotted her on some exercises.
It's actually quite easy to restrain yourself and interact with people as individuals, rather than as sex objects, even if they are in skimpy gym outfits and are under very flattering lighting.
If I happen to have a lady in my field of vision, I am more likely to observe exercise form than objectify her. |

Well we’re currently and just about completed our own gym, purely because these people hang around far too long hogging equipment whilst just perving and/or admiring themselves too long through the mirrors so much so we’re bored of waiting around to use them.
They just sit/stand and stare haha

Nothing wrong with being distracted and glancing briefly, as long as you don't stare and make anyone feel uncomfortable (even if they are wearing skin tight/skimpy clothing, it doesn't matter)
I for one often get very distracted by men in work gear/hi vis and have a second glance, it's not hurting anybody |

Pounds of Dynamite A personal trainer barges into a gym feeling all pumped up to bang a client. He is confronted with this sexy bimbo who falls head over heals for him. The guy shows off his muscles and winks at this girl, she responds with A flying kiss of her own. This continues for a while when finally the girl invites this dude to sleep with her at her place. He accepts gleefully. In the room The girl is lying on the bed and the hunk starts to strip off. He takes off his shirt pointing towards his biceps, says "Look at them, these are one thousand pounds of dynamite" The girl gets blown away at this sight. Next goes off his pants and the focus is on his thighs, saying "Look at them, these are one thousand pounds of dynamite" Now she's starting to get wet and all ready for the trailor to ride home as the only thing left are the underpants. Muscle maniac pulls out the jack pot and lets loose of his jumbo. On sight of his dick the girl, "Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh........... Get away from me" runs away. The guy eventually catches up and asks "What the hell happened?" Girl "Danger! Danger! I had to go, I was scared" Guy "What do you mean?" Girl "With two thousand pounds of dynamite and such a short fuse I thought you were about to explode" |

I don’t ogle men at the gym but I do worry about who I can ask to spot me and not for my looks!!!
Your language is archaic and you views are all over the place.
What I do love is the men that have spoken up about this topic. I have teenage daughters who still suffer the same misogynistic shit I had to put up with as a young woman. So thank you to you all. Only men can change men x

The gym I go to is full of attractive, fit women wearing tight yoga pants and little tops. Do I sneak a glance ? Of course I do. It's only natural if you find someone fit.
That's where it ends with me though,a glance. I love going to the gym and keeping fit is important to me so I would never let it get to the point where it was affecting my concentration while working out. |

I look when I go to the gym. I hope I don't make anyone feel uncomfortable. I dont stare though and it's not always because I find someone attractive.
I look to see what others are doing to get tips.
My gym is quite unfriendly, no one really even says hi or acknowledge you're there.
But sometimes a fit guy attracts my gaze but that's not just because it's the gym, I do it in any scenario, be that in the supermarket, petrol garage, pub etc. Human nature I'm afraid and I wont be walking around with my head down just incase my gaze offends someone |

I just try to go at times I know it’s empty or next to empty as I just want to do what I went there for and not have anyone around me tbf. I do think gym wear has become far more sexualised, which is unnecessary. It’s even started off trends all over tik tok etc showing partners what they look like in yoga pants or leggings to get their reaction. I think that hasn’t helped and made the gym a lot less pleasant environment for many. I had an experience going to the pool after my work out one. There was four - five woman in the pool already. From the time of coming out the changes rooms, getting in the pool the furthest distance I could from them and doing lengths clear out of the way of them I felt and caught from the corner of my eye death glares. It was horrible, I just wanted to swim and warm down after the gym but left feeling like I was some kind of predator or something. Naturally I rushed through what I came to and got out of a very uncomfortable situation. From either side, no one she be made to feel uncomfortable in a public space, there for the sole purpose of keeping fit and getting healthy. Tbh if I had the equipment, space and pool I’d just work out there in heartbeat and not bother with the gym |

2 of my friends own separate gyms and they have enforced a dress etiquette and no filming rule Had a blight of stripper style yoga attire the youngsters were wearing and filming for only fans / tik / insta ..and some guys not wanting to wear tops all time .
The big issue was filming on machines or live streaming from on them which is against gym rules for commercial use plus members being in backgrounds and a number of persons not wearing underwear at the gym .
Multiple people complained over a period of time so they changed rules. One of them didn’t ban filming fully but has a dedicated wall space where people go stand / Matt out of main gym area to take selfies.
There is a problem with some gyms members and mindset and that’s before you start on the Percy pervert types staring at women or men .
One of them is looking at the feasibility of setting up a male only training gym as well for the gym bros that want to go hard on lifting / muscle building in a male supportive environment, on many fitness Reddits you see this becoming popular in USA now with smaller focussed gym places .

"Do women in the gym really need to work out in such tight clothing? "
2 answers to that.
Firstly. People should wear what they like.
Secondly. If you're doing compound exercises or moving yourself or equipment, you need a smooth path to do so. You don't want baggy clothes getting in the way.

No need to pay gym membership. All the body strength training I want to do can be done at home thankfully.
I can wear what I want without anyone thinking I'm doing it to be looked at. Tight fitting clothes stop my body from wobbling about and hurting, baggy stuff restricts movement, that's why I wear tight clothes to workout.
Not everything women do is so men will look at them |

"Do women in the gym really need to work out in such tight clothing? "
Man are you insane!?
Why on earth would you want peeps to wear anything different?
Shame on you!
Compression clothing offers many benefits to muscles and joints. Muscle fatigue and injury can both be reduced by such items of gym wear.
Having said that, women could wear a looser top over fitted gym leggings and sports bras to make you feel more comfortable, but then they have to ensure their top isn’t so baggy that it will be getting in way of their workout. Why have that hassle...!
Freedom of choice and gym etiquette should be respected. Keeping mind on job (focus man).

Some people I’ve spotted at the gym:
Trackie bottoms and football top - newbie/clueless
Skinny young girls in brand new gym gear - hang out with a group of young lads. They're irritating but you only ever see them once
Lads in tracksuits - as above
People with military style backpack - cross-shit wannabes. They flap about and act really serious for an hour before leaving a huge mess behind
Faux leather trousers & sparkly top - gym perv (she eventually got banned )
Brand new matching gym gear + their mate filming them - wannabe influencer
Brand new matching gym gear + two tripods - micro influencer
Brand new matching gym gear + film crew - model/influencer
There are loads more but I have to do some work |
