As I lie here, surrounded by bubbles in a lovely hot bath, soothing my aches and pains, sipping coffee and perusing the forums on hump day when many will be hard at the grindstone earning a crust......a thought suddenly struck me!
It must suck only having a shower at home.
How do people cope?
Sorry. |

Two showers and a bath but tbh the grandkids use the bath more than we do when they visit..
Probably only use the bath in the winter and then usually when under the weather or that bloody lurgy thing ..
Enjoy..
Duck? |

"I always think this when people talk of having the bath taken out and a shower put in ..........
Nothing like a soak.
A shower is for a quicky but a bath is for life!"
Ooh, can't beat a quicky in the shower!!

Good Morning I’m one of them that did this regret not keeping bath now and just putting an electric shower over bath
Do Miss a long hot soak in bath when you have been in there so long turns you’re finger’s crinkly |

We invigorate a shower op..I prefer a shower
Hot water touching my skin
An oil based shower creme to keep my skin soft
Now a bath gives you wrinkled toes and hands ..no comparison |

"Honestly, I love the idea of a bath but in reality I find it makes me feel all groggy. I don't like it and would happily shower for the rest of my days. A hot tub is different, though!

I love a bath,I take a book and a brew in and chill in the bubbles.
Our old bath had to be replaced, along with the rest of the suite last year.
We couldn't have a bath for almost 2 weeks and I really missed it, I don't think I could live in a place without one now. |

Only seem to have showers here in Brazil but we are planning an extension to our house for a larger bedroom with either a large cast iron tub or jacuzzi to share within it. |

I love a shower, there is nothing better than the water beating down and soothing your body. However, I love the indulgence of my bath. The ability to shut out the world and just luxuriate in the warm bubbly water and not have to do anything or rush for anything. The job is to just be.

I haven't had a bath in about 9 years. I hate them! Honestly, how can people just lay there. What do you do?!?
You can't beat hot water pounding down on your head op.

As the water gets colder and colder and you're just laying in your own dirty bath water? Sounds fun!

I love the thought of soaking in the bath, but the reality is that the minute I settle down in amongst the bubbles, for some bizarre reason anxiety arrives and I get very stressed. So early exit ensues... |

Nah.
Start hot, and when it starts cooling down you just let some out and top up with more hot.
Simples! |

Our water takes too long to run through hot. It would be an exercise in futility.

Shower it’s a cleaner option fast and go
However ….
A good soak with a Fab friend is more than useful especially with a lovely glass of wine and candles
Lucky to have the taps in the middle too ! |

Where I am from we don’t have baths.
I lived without a bath, only showers for 30 years and coped perfectly well.
Even now I’m not keen on baths, mostly showers. I’ll have one if I am achey or cold. But it’s rare. |

I wouldn’t live in a house that didn’t have a bath, one of life’s greatest pleasures is lying for ages in a hot bath with favourite music on the wireless. Fitted a double ended bath (exes choice) when I did my bathroom 9 years ago and it’s only ever been used solo haha |

You get the soapy stuff, put it on a scrubbing thingy and wash yourself thoroughly.
Then, you (if you have the facilities) let the plug out and rinse under the shower after washing your hair.
I thought the purpose of a bath was to get clean and scrub away dead skin.
