"I'm not particularly fond of him but I did like Doghouse.
That the one where he rams the pool cue up the rapists arse ? "
I don't recall that scene in it.
It's a film about a village of zombie women. |

"I think he’s a bit if a caricature of a man tbh. There’s more to being a man than shaaaaaatttinnn and bein aaaaaanggrreee. I might give it a watch mind "
It’s hilarious that people fall for Danny Dyer’s fake hard man image. The lads been to drama school and has been acting on stage and screen since being a kid.
He’s not tough at all, and even his persona is him playing a character. |

"I think the real question is why are programs like this being made. Women know how to behave towards the other sex (most of the time), why can’t men? "
I think the program is to challenge that exact attitude! Most women are fine and most men are fine, so we shouldn’t generalise and class masculinity itself as toxic, because most men do a decent job with their masculinity |

Yeah but they do it quietly and it’s the knobends that make a load of noise that get us the bad overall rep.
The types like that Tate creature and all these loony far right and evangelical Americans with the mad stuff they come out on men and women’s roles when women’s rights and equality aren’t or shouldn’t be for debate. |

"Didn't most of you watch it?"
I've just read the guardian review but I haven't watched it. From that I gather it covered a few topics including make victims of domestic abuse but nothing in depth. |

What did anyone think of the programme?
Your opinion on Danny Dyer doesn't really matter.
Nor does whether you'd have sex with his daughter or not (that's just dreaming )
The programme wasn't about Danny Dyer nor was he telling people how to be a man. He was investigating several aspects of societal attitudes towards men and examining some ensuing problems that men have to face.

The issue is that Danny Dyer presents a certain image and it’s fair comment if he’s used to try and present a serious show. |

Thought it raised some good questions. It didn’t necessarily answer them but anything is a start. Men get a lot of shit these days but the majority are wonderful people. Masculinity shouldn’t be feared or shameful, it should be celebrated with the same enthusiasm as femininity |

I think a good idea but seems from the review below C4 missed the opportunity to do something interesting. I may watch just out if interest as the question interests me

It sounded like it just had a bit of a superficial pics and mix, without any of the valuable insight gathering that they could have done . It's a pity, because it's such an important issue. Oh well |

"Always thought he portrayed himself as a bit of a c**t.
Nothing nice about his character but obviously don’t know him in real life!
Don’t judge a book by the cover etc etc …"
Means he's a good actor then. I've met him and to be fair there isn't a lot of difference in his character. He's West Ham, so he's fine with me. |

Watched both episodes last night and read the review in the Guardian. It’s the usual quick send a known celebrity to talk to ordinary people over something in the news, that affects a certain demographic.
Every time he talked to someone I wanted him to question them fully about their beliefs or experiences. Young lad with his misogynistic attitude to male victims of DV.
The only part of the documentary that was really done well is when the grieving father talked about his murdered son. His inclusion really hit home with me as failures in the family courts led to this tragedy.
I like Danny just wish it had more depth. |

Certainly interesting and a topic that needs further debate
For someone who was mentally abused by a partner I can empathize with others who experienced similar
It's something I hid from my male friends although in the last 18 months I've opened up more
It certainly helps to talk |

"It was too superficial and fleeting, jumping around too much
It sounds as if it could have been a series rather than a one off"
And the review you posted summed it up very well. I guess it was just cheap, easy television. Probably some experts would be better placed, to try to look at the solutions |

Nr Cardiff or at Chams Darlaston |
Some elements of it were interesting. Not sure about Ed Matthews saying if a female has had more that 5 cocks she’s a slag. It all felt like it was put on for the camera, but I’ve not watched him on his usual platform ever.
The Dad whose son was murdered, showed how family courts often fail.
