It isn't really a 70's thing, not shaving has been happening since the dawn of humanity. It was late 1990s when the fashion for shaved pubes became mainstream.

I know a friend who waxes off the bush for other women on a daily basis. Considering she waxes about 5 women a day to various styles I’d say smooth (Hollywood) or (Brazilian) is still a big favourite with women, I personally like the smooth look on women.
